Yep its Earl. The scary part about him is when he entered the NFL his thighs were each 34 inches in diameter. After he got to the Oilers and went through conditioning his thighs went down to 31 inches all pure muscle.

He didn't just run over people he exploded into them and they usually crumpled to the ground.

A little tidbit about Bum:

Phillips played football at Lamar College (now Lamar University) in Beaumont, Texas, but enlisted in the United States Marine Corps shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He became one of the elite Marine Raiders.

Yes it is, but it’s the same style as Csonka. Riggins would probably in that class, too.

That’s why he’s crippled today.

It seemed that the Rams always lost back in the 70s and early 80s. I was a fan as a kid back then.

Back then I liked pro ball but gave up in the mid 80s.

RIP Bum.

Bum Phillips, Dante Pastorini, Kenny Burrough, Earl Campbell, Billy “White Shoes” Johnson ...

Those guys knew how to put on a show! Good memories.

R.I.P. Bum.

I remember the 'luv you blue' period with the Oilers.

Couldn't get past those Steelers!

I gave up pro ball for years when "Ma-Damn-Ram" (RIP Jim Healy) took my lambs away.
