President Barack Obama isnt an overtly religious man. He and his family rarely attend church. He almost never elaborates in public about his own relationship to his Christian faith.
But away from the public eye, his advisers say the president has nurtured a spirituality thats served to help ground him during turbulent times.
Every year on Aug. 4, the presidents birthday, Obama convenes a group of pastors by phone to receive their prayers for him for the year to come. During the most challenging of times, prayer circles are organized with prominent religious figures such as megachurch pastor Joel Hunter, Bishop Vashti McKenzie of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and the Rev. Joseph Lowery, a civil rights activist.
Each morning for the past five years, before most of his aides even arrive at the White House, Obama has read a devotional written for him and sent to his BlackBerry, weaving together Scripture with reflections from literary figures such as Maya Angelou and C.S. Lewis.................

It’s probably true, then he leans forward and touches his head to the floor
Yeah but he does with his feet up on the desk.
It’s kinda hard for the teleconferees to pray for him for the year ahead while everyone is prostrate on a prayer rug praying to Allah.
Obama’s name is in my prayers every day.
At the time, he claimed himself to be the fourth greatest president ever.(That is, if you exclude the first forty-four.)
Just knowing he receives his inspiration and guidance from the words of Maya Angelou and not Rev. Wright helps me sleep better at nights.............
Really? He calls a few pastors on the phone and has them pray for him?
Can anyone say mega-narcissistic?
BTW, Obozo, I too pray for you everyday. Of course it's a imprecatory prayer for you, and your band of grifters,
I got one for ya' Barry - Allah Fubar!
We must picture Hell as a state where everyone is perpetually concerned about his own dignity and advancement, where everyone has a grievance, and where everyone lives the deadly serious passions of envy, self-importance, and resentment. --C. S. Lewis - The Screwtape Letters
Daniel 3
1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
3 Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
4 Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
5 That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
6 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?
31 While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.
32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.
I’m surprised no one has pointed out that the writer is from the Chicago Sun Times, Barry.’s home town. He probably provided the text for the news article to give the false impression he’s Christian. This will probably be the start of many news articles that talk about his “Christian faith” as everyone has been connecting the dots between him and the MB and radical Islam. Its just a ploy to bring his ratings back up folks. Typical 0 play.
Bump!
I guess we’ve entered Hell.
I was going to say, “What a crock of Shiite.” But pant load will do.
The One gathers pastors to pray to him for him.
