In August of 1934 members the Wehrmacht were required to recite a Reichswehreid, an oath of personal allegiance to Adolf Hitler. This oath ignored God and country but swore an oath to a man, Adolf Hitler. The soldiers were to fight and die on the behalf of the dear leader. Such loyalty oaths originated in ancient Rome and have been repeated throughout history and to different tyrants. Obama It is a rumor that Obama wishes the members of the American military would swear and an oath to him over God and the Constitution. But in his narcissist mindset he truly...

BHO's statement contained 74 sentences. In 24 out of 74 sentences, he said "I", "me" or "my." This is not about the military, or even the CIA, which were mentioned in just 4 of the sentences. It's about BHO, and BHO alone. Congratulations, BHO, here are a few things for which you took credit in the 74 sentences: "I directed Leon Panetta... to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority..." "I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden." "I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility...

People like to talk about the bubble that President Barack Obama lives in, pointing out that he surrounded by more than the usual number of sycophants in this White House. "You have Valerie [Jarrett] berating just about anyone who she even perceives has said something negative about the President," says one White House media aide. "She's constantly on her cell phone taking down some CEO or Senator or Congressional chief of staff for some slight, whether it actually was or not." Then there are the manipulative advisers who create media events like the one at Arlington, Virginia's Long Branch Elementary...

I am sick and tired of this site being taken over by Catholics ( of which I am one ) stories or proverbs. This is a news site not a religion site. Go do that somewhere else. I am not opposed to your prostilazion(sp), just not here. We lose credibility if any religious group dictates or can be quoted from this site. As a long term member of this site I regret posting this information, but the site has been buried in Catholic stuff recently and it should be shunted to some separate page.

Worth the read! By Robert A. Hall, former Massachusets Senator I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired. I'm tired of...

Here is a video from Americans for Prosperity that counts the number of times President Obama mentioned himself in a recent "Jobs" Speech he delivered in Ohio. The number - 132 times! This despite the fact that in the speech, he actually said, "It's not about me." They also counted the number of times he mentioned "taxpayers" - 2; "Tax Cuts" - 2; "Small Business" - 8. . . . Populist or professor? Contrite or uncompromising? President Obama will have a chance Wednesday to reintroduce himself to the nation when he delivers his first official State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress. The prime-time speech, which will be aired on all major TV networks and cable stations, could hardly come at a more critical time for a president grappling with double-digit unemployment, sinking poll numbers and the possible collapse of his top domestic policy priority, an overhaul of the nation's health-care system. "As often as the president has spoken over the past year, critics on the...

The Republican Party, the Party of Reagan has been nearly smothered and suffocated by the RINO-virus which has spread more rapidly than any swine flu pandemic, the GOP has been infected from the top down, and IF it is to avoid the fate of the Bull Moose Party, the principles of Reagan conservatism must be re-established, the fair weather collaborators and Quislings (that means YOU Juan McCain and your butt buddy Lindsey 'Goober' Graham!) MUST be driven out and banished and if they join up with the traitorous 'Rats, so be it. Force them to show their true colors. The...

"Words mean things," Rush Limbaugh likes to say. Well, if the word manslaughter means anything at all, why would a court in the state of New York – where English presumably is still spoken and understood – accept a plea of manslaughter from Muzzammil "Mo" Hassan? Hassan, if you remember, is the Bridges TV founder charged with the decapitation death of his wife, Aasiya Zabair Hassan, in his upscale suburban Buffalo office last February, where she was found with three dozen stab wounds to her body and her head sawed off with a steak knife.

(CNN) – Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush told an interviewer that he could not say whether or not President Barack Obama is a socialist, and that the president would not have been elected if he had been honest with Americans about his agenda. Bush would not answer the question of whether he agreed with the assessment of some congressional Republicans that the president is a socialist. "I don't know. Define socialism for me," he told Esquire magazine. "It's a word… I believe he's a collectivist. He believes that through collective action, through government, you can solve more problems." He added...

ST. PETERSBURG — Before dawn on Wednesday, Virginia Zinn heard a crash. She sighed, peeked out the door and saw a familiar scene. Here we go again, she thought. For at least the seventh time, a vehicle crashed into Zinn's home on 12th Street S. This time it was a school bus. At 6 a.m. The bus, heading west on Ninth Place S — an unpaved 10-foot-wide alley a toe from Zinn's place — struck the overhanging roof of her home as it tried to turn onto 12th Street S. Police estimated the damage at about $800, to be paid...

Why do we capitalize the word “I”? There’s no grammatical reason for doing so, and oddly enough, the majuscule “I” appears only in English. Consider other languages: some, like Hebrew, Arabic and Devanagari-Hindi, have no capitalized letters, and others, like Japanese, make it possible to drop pronouns altogether. The supposedly snobbish French leave all personal pronouns in the unassuming lowercase, and Germans respectfully capitalize the formal form of “you” and even, occasionally, the informal form of “you,” but would never capitalize “I.” Yet in English, the solitary “I” towers above “he,” “she,” “it” and the royal “we.” Even a gathering...

There have been many sites crop up recently that claim to predict what will happen in November. My favorite since 2004 - and I think the most accurate - has been Election Projection. ...Speaking on Social Security, Democrat hopeful Barack Obama boasted that "here's an area where John (Edwards) and myself were actually quite specific." A few minutes later, Bill Richardson wondered, "What is wrong with having been like myself -- 14 years in the Congress, two Cabinet positions?" ...The new verbal tic is part trend and part defensive posture. Since the Me Generation, "I" and "me" have become increasingly tangled up as Americans have looked for ways around tricky constructions. As sportswriter Red Smith once put it, "Myself is the foxhole of ignorance, where cowards take refuge, because they were taught that...

Thomas X. Hammes is a retired Marine colonel. He is the author of a seminal book on conducting counter-insurgency warfare. The work is called "The Sling and the Stone: On War in the 21st Century." Recently, he made an intriguing proposal on how to battle jihadists on the Internet (a virtual agora where Islamist militants appear to consort with alarming frequency). This is what he said: "For the last few years, individuals and private organizations that are pro-Israeli have been in a daily fight to shut down or deface anti-Israeli Web sites. Unofficial and informal, this Internet Hagana has had...

The CIA's top leaders failed to use their available powers, never developed a comprehensive plan to stop al-Qaida and missed crucial opportunities to thwart two hijackers in the run-up to Sept. 11, the agency's own watchdog concluded in a bruising report released Tuesday. Completed in June 2005 and kept classified until now, the 19-page executive summary finds extensive fault with the actions of senior CIA leaders and others beneath them. "The agency did not always work effectively and cooperatively." The executive summary says U.S. spy agencies, which were overseen by Tenet, lacked a comprehensive strategic plan to counter Osama bin...

A man accused of plotting to detonate bombs in Britain acknowledged talking about blowing up the Houses of Parliament, but said the suggestion was meant as a joke. He told jurors at London's Central Criminal Court that, while watching Prime Minister Tony Blair take questions in the House of Commons in "we just made a comment 'Can you imagine if you dropped a bomb right there and then? You would take out all the MPs (members of Parliament)." Khyam confirmed it was he...

When Jesus was living, he did not align himself with the Jewish religious parties, then called Saducees and Pharisees, nor the secular authorities: King Herod and Rome. He obeyed the Mosaic law and even paid tribute. He told Nicodemus, an old man that he had to be born again to be saved. Jesus meant born spiritually. Jesus preached that this spiritual new baby would be then, dead to the world, living in the world but not of it. He pointed out that worrying about the future was not what a Christian would be doing because tomorrow has enough worries to...

Time to dust off the whoopee cushions and hand buzzers. April Fools' Day is here and there's no better place for wisecracks and shenanigans than at work. In its annual April Fools' Day survey, CareerBuilder.com found 33 percent of workers have played a practical joke on a co-worker and 17 percent are planning office tricks for this year's holiday. Although it might be thrilling to finally one-up the office funnyman, pranks also help beat something that's no laughing matter: workplace stress. More than half of workers reported working under stress in another CareerBuilder.com survey. Stress and worry on the job...

Fellow Americans, there comes a time every mans life when we must give up ourselves before we are worthy to recieve. There comes a time in this war on terror when in order to protect liberty, we have to give it up in the mean time for safty. That's right folks. Today, Americans have forsaken the creator for the creation and have decided that they would value our "civil liberties" than protecting western civilization and rich white people from the tender mercies of radical Islamic terrorists. Selfish liberals insist and whine that Bush has no right to spy on Americans...

Bush’s giant Right Wing Noise Machine (RWNM) loves to preach about the Bush economic miracle. In fact, the RWNM’s current thinking is Bush doesn’t spend enough time talking about his economic triumphs. If only he did, then everyone would fall in line and believe in the great Bush economic miracle. There is one problem with this argument: it’s a lie. Any way you look at the Bush economy, it comes up short. Today, I want to compare Bush’s job creation record with other economic recoveries. As usual, Bush comes up way short. The national Bureau of Economic Research has identified...

After reading all of the crap that people have been saying regarding Adult Private Social Clubs, I felt that I had to post an article and give my opinion. I am sick and tired of all the religous groups that are saying that there are drugs, prostitution, minors, non-consenting people, and just immoral people at these clubs! Now it is another Vietnam. Again, a nonmilitary branch of the government is sticking their nose where it doesn't belong and demanding withdrawal before victory. America must not abandon another just cause. America must not betray another nation of people who are hoping for freedom and representation. It is the ideal of relativism that says freedom and democracy are not superior to tyranny and terror. Liberals who adhere to this philosophy may need to experience the latter before changing their mind about the superiority of America's way of life. Yet, a proper study of history would make that unnecessary. America's...

The John Roberts I remember Douglas Newcombe August 4, 2005 When President Bush announced his nomination of John Roberts to the Supreme Court, I felt an overwhelming surge of pride. I spent four years with John in a small college prep school called La Lumiere, a very special place that formed the character and drive we would retain for the rest of our lives. It was at La Lumiere that John and I grew from boys to men. I knew him well. You can't get up every morning and brush your teeth next to someone for four years without getting...

Sorry for the vanity but I could not resist speaking to this irony: 1) NARAL's web site comes up with a "tell your senator to oppose this three-eyed, twenty-foot-high firebreathing tentacled dragon monster Roberts", calling him "anti-choice". Yet NARAL's page offers no "choice" to change the message one sends to the senator. Pro-choice, eh? 2) The two top words are "Choose Justice". Justice... From NARAL - executing the most innocent of us in the most brutal manner imagineable. Justice. That word coming from them, unbelievable.

Israel May Use New Weapon on Settlers Friday, June 10, 2005 JERUSALEM — Israel (search) is considering using an unusual new weapon against Jewish settlers who resist this summer's Gaza Strip (search) evacuation — a device that emits penetrating bursts of sound that leaves targets reeling with dizziness and nausea. Security forces could employ the weapon to overcome resistance without resorting to force, their paramount aim. But experts warn that the effects of prolonged exposure are unknown. The army employed the new device, which it dubbed "The Scream," at a recent violent demonstration by Palestinians (search) and Jewish sympathizers against...

I did it!!! For years I have been tying to post an article during normal freeping hours that nobody would comment on for over an hour. It is quite a challenge really.
