Those legs....I think Tina Turner is the first woman in which I’ve found the legs to be sexy.

I met her around 1971 when she and Ike were performing at Troy University. I had no interest at all in her music but I will say she was a pleasant person.

An oath of renunciation is request for a Certificate of Loss of Nationality. She’s still a U.S. Citizen until a CLN is issued.

Congress is not authorized to issue a CLN, but it can articulate a bill to formalize a citizen’s request for a CLN to be issued by the Executive Branch. Only the SoS, by authority of the POTUS, can issue a CLN.

After the USA bullied the swiss into ratting out Americans with money there, almost no banks permit holders of US passports to open big accounts —too damn many nasty letters from Uncle Sam —they want their cut of your money now —RIGHT NOW.

No US passport? No problem with non US banks. Call it an Electronic Berlin Wall for Americans.

Nice huh? Thank you GayMuzzie.

She’s not been in the US for quite some time except for concerts or visits. I believe her significant other is a Frenchman so it is normal for her to take citizenship of another country and since the French are also tax happy, Switzerland is a good choice financially.

I never understood her popularity, but she’s always seemed a decent enough person.

And she could do a lot worse than Switzerland.

Tina is a very smart lady. My guess is that she is looking at what is happening here and wants to keep what she has. Switzerland has been a destination for expats from all over the world for generations.

The timing is a little odd; could it be that she doesn’t much care for the political administration of one of da bruthas?
