The government does not need to plan healthcare, needs to be as uninvolved as possible. Republican plan should be to revert to what we had, then remove as much regulation about area and policies as possible from Insurance companies to put them in direct competition with each other. After this is sorted out, then take a hard look at issues like pre-existing conditions and people that truly cannot afford health care. We also need to be realistic and honest about illegal aliens in this country. Many of the uninsured that we hear about are illegals that should not be here to begin with.

Obama care is a scorched earth policy that threw out the baby with the bathwater. Republicans need to keep any “plan” they have to a minimum and not follow in the footsteps of the dim train wreck.

“That is EXACTLY what I am worried about. ANY (ALL CAPS...YELLING) attempt on the part of the GOP to “fix” this mess will only lead to the charge of “well, you helped create this””

Yeah, no Republicans voted for it. Cruz tried to defund it. so far, the Republicans have clean hands. Don't dirty them up!

They need to step back, give it room to burn and sell an alternative. Repeal will take care of itself.

A failure of execution. RINO collaborators opposed Cruz.

Are we a nation that lives by the rule of law? Do Republicans control the House? Is there any integrity left within the corrupt MSM? Is Daryl Issa still investigating something somewhere?

This Boondoggle FusterCluck designed and implemented by democrats has a life of it's own.

Republicans can argue over various tactics to take advantage but the bottom line is this.

The pain will keep coming. Real people with real damages. Democrat's cannot hide from nor salvage this mess.

The 2014 midterms will be an absolute and total referendum on ObamaCare. No other issue will be discussed.

Veto proof Senate and House will be comprised of a bipartisan group of Dems and Repugs who pledged to Kill ObamaCare.

Obama will be systematically and progressively relegated to the bottom of the Presidential Legacy pile as his popularity bottoms out at about 30%.

Real People with Real Damages will dominate the media.

It’s time for them to face the consequences.

Obamacare suffering does not affect only Democrats. It affects good, hard working people across the nation. Like Senator Cruz, I reject the notion that ordinary Americans should be used as pawns to advance the agenda of a Republican Party dominated by Beltway elitists. Obamacare is disastrous not only for American families but for the American economy. It's time to eradicate it root and branch -- right now.

RE :”A failure of execution. “

Lets see, the plan was to force Obama and Reid and Senate Dems to pass a Senate bill defunding Obamacare, as a condition to end a shutdown, but not get blamed for that shutdown.

And Obamacare funding is exempt from the same shutdown so Obamacare funded during same shutdown.

And everyone knew that Bohner would at some point put a Senate CR bill up for vote and pass it with Pelosi votes, who can claim they were caught by surprised there?

So all it did was keep Obamacare failures out of the news for two weeks and change the subject to shutdowns. And pay Federal employees for another two weeks off, great use of $$$>

That is why you only rounded up 19 Senate votes out of 47 GOPs (~ 40%) and 19 % of Senate.

To me asking what is the Republican alternative is to Obamacare, is like the Commies asking what the alternative is to communism...

um... FREEDOM is the alternative!

Freedom to buy or not buy insurance as you wish.
Freedom to engage in risky behaviors which will result in higher premiums if you choose to buy insurance or the freedom to live a healthy lifestyle and be rewarded with cheaper insurance rates.

A Huge Mistake!! The stupid party chooses the easy, and the passive, way. Once a government program becomes bureaucratically embedded, it becomes fixed, frozen forever. Two many rules, regulations and reputations are glued to the monstrosity. And more and more people will be getting something for little or nothing.

It is now time for action, not inaction! But the Stupid Party will remain the Stupid Party.

Would the current uproar be happening if the website worked? Policies would be canceled, but new ones would be available via the website. There might be complaints about cancellations, but that would be quelled by the availability of new plans.

Time is not our ally.

The Rats are working hard to develop work-arounds. Those work-arounds may be/are illegal, but that doesn't matter to them. The Repubs have shown little interest in opposing these illegal actions.

Given time the Rats will prevail.

Take time away from them.

Shut down the illegal decrees and delays.

Put Rats on defense. Examine the contract given to CGI. How and why were they chosen? What are it's provisions? Is there a performance bond? How is payment structured? etc.

Expose the cronyism and corruption. Have Michelle Obama testify. Have Townes-Whitley testify. Too much time has already gone by, they have had an opportunity to get their story straight. Surprise subpoena and have them testify simultaneously in separate rooms.

Repubs had better get out of the reclining chair, stand up, and "lean forward". This is gold. Let's not squander it.

Letting it burn is NOT of our choice. Many repeal bills have passed the House only to be tabled by Reid. I completely agree that a unifying solution needs to be drawn up and issued out, and I am not for Americans suffering, but honestly, we have been suffering for the past five years under a President who will not lift one finger to get the economy moving in the PROPER ways because he wants Fundamental Transformation.

Repeal, Replace and Delay legislation will not go anywhere as long as you have a Senate ruled by Reid and a President named Obama in the White House.

That is why 2014 needs to be an OBAMA REFERENDUM. The Impeachment Election. We get him out, we take over the Senate and then we can start to undo all of this damage.

The communists in both parties will now begin the push for single payer to solve this disaster. Sort of like cutting another hole in your life raft to drain the water flooding in from the other hole you cut just to see what would happen to begin with. And I have no doubt the GOPE will at some point take some ownership of this cat turd that missed the litter box and hit the floor they are entirely that stupid.
