The New York City Police Department is taking aim at owners of certain shotguns and rifles, telling them all long guns with a five-round or more capacity must be turned in, altered or taken out of town.
An estimated 500 recipients of the notices, which were mailed on Nov. 18, were given the options to surrender their gun, permanently move the gun out of city jurisdiction or employ a licensed gunsmith to modify the weapon to get into compliance with the law. Rifles and shotguns with a capacity of five or more rounds are affected.

Exactly.
A pawn shop has to be an FFL because they are transferring ownership of the firearm. But even if you pawn a gun they run a background check.
I bet they’d find some way to charge you with a crime.
Oh Lord. If I lived in NY I would have some questions.
Does the 5 round limit include the chambered round? What if my shotgun or rifle doesn’t have a “clip”? Can I just put a plug in the shotty? Does this apply to my Air Rifles too? Is each pellet in my 00 buckshot considered a “bullet” are are we just talking shells here?
Good luck getting answers from your bureaucrats.
A clip at both ends for a detachable sling?
I bet a bunch of NYers are about to have some odd boating accidents.
Your average, non-magnum, bolt action deer rifle holds five rounds. That’s the limit for hunting rifles in the field in many states, so these turd chunks purposefully went under that to force people into giving up their deer rifles or modifying them. Hunters take note. The gun grabbers are after you too. If you bird hunt with a pump gun or semi auto that holds five rounds, you must submit to the will of the commies.
I’ll take #2, Alex..................Self storage for firearms like a bank’s safe deposit box, only bigger...............
I bet he meant to say “multi-round” clip. Which would still be wrong as he would be confusing a clip with a magazine but it seems to be where he was going. How hard would it be for a reporter to just spend a half hour educating himself on the basics of firearms before reporting on them - it that too much to ask?
I’m guessing he reporter meant “detachable magazine” but the law applies to internal magazines as well. It’s always been the case with gun control that the ones passing it don’t have a clue about what they’re regulating, nor do they need one - they’re after prohibition.
Makes you shake your head doesn’t it. The photo at the link shows hand guns with magazines, and a hand grenade.
What, exactly, is a multi-clip gun?..............I dont think Ive ever seen one...............
Not only that, but when was the last gun of any type that used a charging clip manufactured, WWII? What is the problem with the media that they can not get the simplest terminology correct.
Idiots have grown tired of Ozone Holes, Rain Forests and Globull Warming.
They have gun clips in their sight. I have a gun clip but it doesn’t match my ties.
Libs, God luv em’
Could be tough ... most of New England has gone full communist with little possibility unless they use mail order to midwest, west or south.
Submit?
H NO.
GTT (Gone to Texas)
A clip? My Garand has clips. I have stripper clips. But my other rifles have magazines.
I’ve gots paper clips...............
PLEASE! It’s bad enough to live in a mid Atlantic state. Don’t do us the ultimate disservice of lumping us in with those Red Sox lovers up in New England.
I have a 500 round capacity stapler.
I got a nail gun that uses clips...............
