Lets see ...

Millennials having to pay like $75-$100/month [after subsidies] and then having a $3000 deductible, co-pays, and out-of-pocket expenses - so that they never get the insurance to kick in ...

Many MORE millions losing their current insurance at the end of 2014 [including employer plans that haven’t announced termination yet] ...

Everybody paying more for insurance, higher deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket exdpenses ...

YEP - Obamacare is REALLY gonna help the DEMs in 2014 ...

Millions who have had their coverage cancelled aren't going to be singing the praises of Democrats for this piece of crap. Millions who are forced to pay thousands more for maternity coverage they don't need, millions who find out just before the election that they'll be losing company insurance or (in their minds) worse, that they'll have to pay a portion of it...

Democrats live in a fantasy world where illegals are legal, where to help the ‘uninsured’ they make millions more uninsured, where taxes are fines and fines are taxes...

I don't imagine that there will be one senator running for re-election who will be putting forward the idea that they fully support PelosiCare. Heck, I bet even Nancy will be claiming that Republicans gutted the best parts of PelosiCare come re-election time.

Sounds like bunk from what I’m given to understand. I thought one could not interrogate the website without registering. And the registration procedure included an inspection of one’s credit records and security questions therein to validate the ID before one could proceed to view options.

But maybe I misunderstood the description of the procedure.

RE :”Why Obamacare Could Help the Democrats in 2014 (Yes, he's serious)
.......What do you think? “

I real the whole editorial at link. I love finding the real questions being avoided.

Here's whats missing that Dems are avoiding in their arguments that would let us really know how good it is:

1)The $$ deductibles that goes with $$ premium for each plan
2) How many doctors and specialists are in the network for those plans
3) How much similar canceled by mandate plans cost and compare to these, the premiums, duductibles and # doctors in network that they are losing

For example, a middle-of-the-pack silver plan looked like this: $472 a month; a $7,500 family deductible; a $12,700 out-of-pocket maximum....Individuals will have to decide for themselves whether that buys them $5,664 in peace of mind (that’s $472 times 12), but I suspect a lot of people will decide that it sure does.

Mr. Tomasky, that adds up to an annual expenditure of $13,164 before the family derives any benefit from the insurance. That amounts to fully 1/3 of the pre-tax income of the average wage-earner in the country.

Where is the "peace of mind" in that?

I went and checked out what’s available in NC. The cheapest Bronze plan would cost me 1134$ a month with a 12500 deductible. The Platinum plan was over 2000 a month and a deductible of 6000. People are just gonna be THRILLED at those prices.... /s

All this happy talk from the Left will be for nothing as soon as the folks actually see what the cost iof their plan will be. No one at this times knows what that is because it all depends on whether the young invincible s as they are known bother to sign up.

I believe I read under the best of circumstances even if the kids do sign up the average increase to obtain coverage under the new plan mandates means an increase on average of about 40% in the policy cost.

This then is when the sh*t hits the fan and all the BS articles from the Left won’t change that.

Tell a lie enough times and people believe it to be the truth. Unfortunately, with the psychology of humanity, this technique works from time to time.

This could have easily been on The Onion as a satire.

The uber wishful thinking some of the hard core lefties have is really something.

Since doctors and hospitals are opting out of caring for anyone on the Exchanges it doesn’t really matter that the cost will be too high for just about any working person to afford since there will be no one to see them within a 200 mile radius. Then get ready to wait for months and face the rationing squad. Yeah. This is a really good deal for someone. Who; I have no idea but it must be ‘cause they said it. Right?

“What do you think?”

I think this guy is delusional.

And what’s with the crack about “yahoo states” - it’s MOST of the states, 36, no?

As to “lightening fast”, etc. I don’t know, perhaps they have improved the front end that much. But in any event he was faking, so he’s not going to really buy insurance so he’s not going to be able to see how the back end works, which by all reports is still....not so good.

And even IF the website works great people are still going to be buying worse plans for more money. Or not buying insurance or replacement insurance because it costs too much.

Like the one woman who was at the Obama presser and then found out that the info she’d been given on her subsidy amount was wrong (Oregon or Wash State exchange I believe) and as of last report she still wasn’t going to be able to buy insurance.

Or the other woman (forget where she was) who was shocked at the high price. She was quoted as saying: I thought this would be “a miracle” for me and my husband, but it’s not.

Combine cases of disappointment like these folks (who did not have ins. and were exactly the people who should have been helped by this law) with the cases of sheer rage on the part of people who had insurance they liked, doctors they liked, etc. and who now will lose both, yeah I’m not seeing this as a plus for the Dems, even if the website is the greatest thing since FR.

I’m surprised that Free Republic allows articles from this ultra-Liberal rag to be posted on this website. You asked “What do you think”? I think Liberal crap like this makes me sick to my stomach and I have no desire to read it. “The Daily Beast” should be added to FR’s list of sources not allowed here.

Help might be a stretch, but I think there is a very real possibility the damage could be much less than we think. The media is already testing accusations against the Republicans to find something that sticks so they can change the narrative and remind America who are the real bad guys. The Democrat’s seem to have stopped attacking the bill and are all praising it now, which plays on evening news sound bites making the low information crowd think it is all good now. I think there is the potential resistance will subside to a degree once enough people sign up, and accept the notion they are going to have to live with it. Obama moved the next round of cancellations until after the election to prevent reminding low information voters of what awaits them. Republicans seem to be more interested in pushing legislation (amnesty, gun control) that is not only despised by their base, but by the majority of the country, which will depress turn out, at least for incumbents. The Republicans should be taking the lead on this acting like the defenders of the people, but they are content to sit and watch hoping it goes their direction. I think there is a real possibility we are scratching our heads next year wondering why we failed again.
