The Effects Of Environmentalist and Climate Alarmist Crying Wolf Begin To Appear
Watts Up With That ^ | December 7, 2013 | By Dr. Tim Ball

Posted on 12/08/2013 2:18:43 AM PST by Brad from Tennessee

The cover story of the November 25, 2013 Canadian weekly magazine Macleans pictures self-appointed Canadian environmentalist David Suzuki.

The caption reads, “Environmentalism Has Failed--David Suzuki loses faith in the cause of his lifetime.”

Suzuki doesn’t realize he‘s the cause of the failure as a major player in the group who exploited environmentalism and climate for a political agenda. Initially most listened and tried to accommodate, but gradually the lies, deceptions and propaganda were exposed. The age of eco-bullying is ending. Typically Suzuki blamed others for the damage to the environment and climate but now he blames them for not listening to him. He forgets that when you point a finger at someone three are pointing back at you.

Environmentalism was what academics call a paradigm shift, which Thomas Kuhn defines as “a fundamental change in approach or underlying assumptions.” It was a necessary new paradigm. Everybody accepts the general notion it is foolish to soil your own nest and most were prepared to participate. Most were not sure what it entailed or how far it should go. Extremists grab all new paradigms for their agenda but then define the limits for the majority by pushing beyond the limits of the idea. Environmentalism and the subset climate are at that stage pushed there by extremists like Suzuki. Instead of admitting the science is wrong they double down and make increasingly extreme statements, just like the IPCC. It underscores the political rather than the scientific agenda. For example, Suzuki, apparently frustrated that politicians were not listening to his demands for action on climate change said they should be jailed. . .

Meadsjn,
You just articulated exactly what’s happening right here at home. Scandal upon scandal, Fast & Furious, Benghazi,IRS, EPA, NSA, Obamacare, Solyndra, you name it—and no one has faced the consequences. Meantime, Conservatives and the Tea Party are branded anarchists and compared to suicide bombers—all this as they continue to work, pay their taxes and obey the laws of the land. The end result—a hopelessness that nothing can be done...I’ve had two friends say to me, what can be done?
What’s the use.

I told them we’re the majority in the country. Let’s start by not voting for the thieves in office and for the party best at robbing us blind. The vested interests will always vote for the robbers, but there’s more of us than them...but not by much! At least young people, jobless, with debt and now asked to pay for Ovamacare when they can’t afford to move out of their parents home, are seeing the cost of a socialist agenda.

Liberal propaganda works like this; religious propaganda works like this; “... every form of tyranny over the mind of man” works like this.

Exactly right!

If you say it loud enough and long enough it becomes the truth. Our public school system is a perfect example of this.

Ultimately, you’re right that TRUTH will out, but it is SO painful to have to fight tooth and nail to get past the crap that spews from the Marxist project.

Great post, except for the notion that religion is about stifling the search for truth. Yes there are some, such as Islam, that only require that you “submit”, but most are man’s attempt to understand truths that are not easily visible in this world.

The KGB helped fund them. That’s why it’s ironic to see Greenpeace detained by the Russians.

That's why we call them the Watermelon Party.

The elections only need to be controlled in specific precincts in a few key states. More of us as individual voters vs. more control by them of the electoral elements needed to keep the oppressors in power.

Yes! These globull warmists may not have all been after massive riches like algore, but they sure wanted to insure their cushy lifelong grants and “easy” chairs in academia.

By the way, anyone hear anything recent on our old pal algore? Maybe he was smart enough to read the globull warming writing on the wall and is content with enough of our money, not all as was his original plan.

Excellent!
It is equally amazing that the mass of MSM, who must consist of some who truly care for America, fell in line with pushing the propaganda. The left, no matter where, does believe “the end justifies the means”.

Even so early in the day, you may have just written “Post of the Day”.

There are people who still believe this crap. I have a friend who was very caught up in “global warming”, then she went right along when it changed to “climate change”. Now she will start to tell me about a violent storm that occurred someplace. That's when I either change the subject or start telling her about a violent storm I remember from 30-40 or 50 years ago. I love to bring up the Galveston hurricane of 1900 because my grandfather told us so much about it.

To err is human, to blame others is even more human.

At least young people, jobless, with debt and now asked to pay for Ovamacare when they can’t afford to move out of their parents home, are seeing the cost of a socialist agenda.

The young can not avoid seeing the cost of the socialist agenda but the real question is do they blame the socialism so active in our country as the culprit?

The young have for the most part been indoctrinated in socialism from the earliest age. They have been taught the idealism of Marxist ideology with little if any counter point of capitalism and free market thought.

How many are capable of seeing that government intervention in the market place and overreaching governmental regulation have all but destroyed the economy of this once thriving economic power house of free market capitalism.

How many can understand that the government has sold out their future for an unachievable egalitarian Utopia future.

Only those that are capable of seeing beyond the lies that their academicians told them, only those that can still question the authorities they have labored under in their school years will be able see the truth that the man behind the curtain is a fraud. The Great and Powerful Oz of socialism is in reality an Evil and Deceitful seeker of power willing to what ever is necessary to wield ultimate political power over the masses.

One has to believe in Global Warming, along with Global Cooling. The proof? Well ... how did the ice sheets get in North America (”global cooling)? And then, how did the ice sheets melt (global warming)?

And also during those times the oceans lowered and they rose.

SO ... Global Warming and Global Cooling is really beyond disputing that it DOES OCCUR.

HOWEVER what is not shown to be true is “Anthropogenic Global Warming.”

****People catch on slow, but they WILL catch on.***

This is why they must never let a good crisis go to waste.

Pass a bad law in the heat of passion, repent while shackled to new chains.

1968 Gun control act comes to mind, along with Obamacare and lots of other travesties like the 16th Amendment to the US Constitution.

Of course that is what I told my NYT’s reading friend. The earth warms and it cools and always has. She has been Goreilized into believing that SUV’s have done it.

She is from Holland and I asked her how did the Medieval Warm Period happen. That's when she changed the subject.

Latest polls suggest tide is turning. Just this week two diehard liberals I’ve known for years were expressing disgust with Obamacare. One even spoke about death panels and said Obama only cares that this is his legacy, no matter how bad it is. Anyone else hearing this? Unfortunately, I didn’t think to say to these two Democrats that if they vote Democrat, they vote to keep Obamacare. It was a friend who reinforced that it was not just Obama, it was a Democrat majority House & Senate. They gotta go.
