Gun control advocates acknowledged Sunday that they were disappointed with efforts this year to tighten firearm laws across the country but vowed to continue their fight, including spending millions on their candidates in next year’s elections.

Their comments came one year after the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre in which 20 students and six adults were fatally shot in Newtown, Conn. However, Congress failed to pass no major gun-control legislation in the aftermath.

You Freepers gotta admit that Libtards can make some pretty strong arguments against the need to own firearms!

In other words, the communists are going to “spend millions” to distract their freeloading, low information types away from the failure of ObamaCare in 2014.

The long term prospects for gun rights in this country are not good.

It’s okay if they spend their millions. It will be less they can spend on their other politics.

They can go ahead and spend all they want. It doesn’t translate into people agreeing with them.

Unfortunately, they often spend our tax dollars rather than their own money.

Obviously I’d rather they didn’t waste our money at all but its better that they waste it to fail than waste it to succeed.

They’ll push for this even after the next big war starts, which could be any time. Thanks Zakeet.

Identifying & isolating behind bars the mental health culprits in the USA, and the gun control issues are reduced to a whisper.

The guns didn’t kill a single person———the mentally ill person behind the gun did the killing. Adam Lanza was off the edge for a very long time. He was aided & abetted with this behavior by his mother—who paid a very severe price for her actions. She also bought him guns. What kind of whacko (herself) does such a thing???

This country has better control of bad dogs than it does for identifying & housing in safer conditions those who are mentally ill.

They could use a machete, a baseball bat or a large number of other things-—and WE ALL KNOW THIS.

The anti-second amendment types problem is that they are operating from a false model of reality.

They think “gun control” is actually popular and will gain them votes. They are wrong. The more they push it, the more people take the time to learn about it.

The more people take the time to learn about it, the more people find that they disagree with it, and vote against it.

If we could count on the anti-freedom types to tell the truth, this would be a slam dunk, but they lie all the time, so we have to take the effort to educate those who are being lied to.

The support for “gun control” is at an all time low. This is because the “push” interested more people, who educated themselves, primarily over the internet. The more people become educated on the issue, the more people oppose “gun control”. It really is that simple. This could work for us.

I think we’ve had just about enough of the risks that socialists create in our society. They don’t belong on American soil under any condition.

I know of two local cases in the past couple of years where the courts refused to involuntarily hospitalize mentally ill people despite the pleadings of their own families.

In one case a man murdered an elderly neighbor with a hammer and cut her head of so she couldn’t emanate rays at him less than a year after his family tried to having him hospitalized.

Even worse was the son who eviscerated his mother looking for the demons that had been coming into his bedroom at night. In that case it was a matter of days after the court refused to lock him up.

I recognize the need to protect their rights but in too many cases the mental illness is very obvious.

Fortunately for us, gun control advocates usually aren't big fans of Uncle Remus.

“The long term prospects for gun rights in this country are not good.”

Methinks we will have a revolution before then.

You’d think Al Gore grabbing the third rail that is gun control would have learned them a lesson or two. What was it the seer said to Nemo in the Matrix, “You’re not very bright. Are you?”
