Sen. Joe Manchin warns that Obamacare could collapse “under its own weight” if there are continued problems, repeating his push for delaying the
“If it’s so much more expensive than what we anticipated and if the coverage is not as good as what we had, you’ve got a complete meltdown at that time,” the West Virginia Democrat said in an interview that aired Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “This transitional year gives you a chance to adjust the product for the market.”
Manchin is pushing legislation with Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) that would delay the individual mandate for another year.
“It falls under its own weight if the cost becomes more than we can absorb,” Manchin said.
I saw him on some show a week ago and someone asked him......did you believe the President when he said if you liked your insurance you could keep your insurance? I was screaming at the tv.......he should have read the bill! The basturd voted for it!!!!
I'd favor using the bounty of this once great nation to assist those that truly need help. We'd save billions.
Naah...probably wouldn't work with all those looking for free everything. Everyone would claim hardship. You'd almost be creating death panels.
Perhaps assist hospitals with their emergency room ops, and still save money.

Not needed; Zero rules by decree now. Best case scenario would be for a bipartisan group to sue the White House for not enforcing the law as-is.

Obamacare is not the Titanic. The Titanic left it’s berth and was well under way at sea before it’s fateful collision.
Joe already grabbed the gun control third rail of politics and squeezed hard. It’s too early to tell what will happen in 2016. Here’s hoping for his early retirement by the voters. Many West Virginians think their ancestors will spin in their graves if they vote Republican. Add to that Democrats control a lot of the state and county jobs.
To their credit they dumped a long term House member who was on the appropriations committee and very skilled at bringing money to the state.
He wants it postponed until after the election to give democrats cover. They will run on promises of giveaways and an obamacare fix that won’t have problems and will be free to democrat voters, after they get elected they will install the rest of the fascist government. You’re right manchin is just another democrat, fascist, that will say whatever he believes will advance his party and cause.
One may not have any insurance at all and sooner or latter the broken insurance companies will collapse without bailout. And if bailout occurs it will leave us with the total insurance King Obama and his Obamacare wanted, a one payer with so total coverage that the cost will break Americans.
