I agree with you, citing "constitutional rights", personal bravado and a camera is no way to deal with an LEO. The guy is simply doing a job and making his job as easy as possible is the best way for the both of you to separate and go your own ways without anybody's toes getting stepped on.
It should be echoed that somebody called in a report of people armed and he had no choice but to respond to the call. I'm sure he was already in a heightened sense of alert once the mention of firearms and thus the apparent agitation.
As a side note, I'm not in favor of this group's Youtube channel being used to document their own personal encounters with LEO's while they are armed.
I have certain bumper stickers on the back of my car as well as a personalized license plate and several times while at a stop light, I have witnessed the driver of the car behind me using their cell phone to photograph the back of my car.
For what purpose I don't know but what I do know is that I have googled my license plate # and have discovered several conversations about it, my car and myself from individuals in my location. That's a little disturbing....
Why not? Everyone should record the police at all times.

Once he arrived and saw who was carrying, he should have had no agitation.

Again, why not? I wish the police will someday operateunder the assumption that EVERYONE has a YouTube channel and that they are being recorded at all times.

Being one of the guys that’s taken down plate info on investigations its probably just information they grabbed at the scene to run later if they need to contact witnesses or to see if you have an NCIC record to followup on if needed later. If you weren’t charged with a crime and convicted of anything I’d contact the website administrator and tell them to pull the pics for fear of retaliation from activist groups that oppose your views. I’d get it off the Internet pronto...
Until the LEO are properly educated on the laws regarding carry, the camera is an essential tool that should always be used. In fact, it should be a wireless camera that transmits and stores the data remotely so when confiscated, the data is not destroyed. When lawsuits start occurring in significant numbers against these LEO abusers, they will become more educated and these instances will subside.

I would maintain that all the citizens involved had their toes stepped on from the moment the cop started demanding IDs without probable cause of a crime having been committed.
