The State Education Board has refused to replace 11 of Alabama’s approved social studies textbooks that feature a chilling overemphasis on Islam at the exclusion of any and all other religions. Most of these textbooks are funded by the Saudi government and distributed free of charge to U.S. schools.

“Most of these textbooks are funded by the Saudi government and distributed free of charge to U.S.”

If anyone ever needed a snapshot of how far America has fallen in age Age of Obama, there would be few better examples than our now being dependent not only on Saudi oil, but now even for our children’s textbooks.

Emphasis on Islam? So there’s 10 pages of 9/11 claiming it was white people who piloted the planes then?

The Gideon Bibles at the Univ. of Wisconsin were free of charge but when an atheist complained, they got rid of them. See how that works?

Home or private school your kids. Just that simple. Yes, it can be a heavy load. But they are your children. Nobody cares about their education more than you. Least of all some government indoctrination center.

I'll never forgive Bush for not hitting the Saudis and Egypt for allowing the anti American training centers and terror cells there. And then attacking Iraq because he had to finish up for daddy.

Stationed at FT.Rucker in 67 no illegals then and the blacks got off the sidewalks when you walked by. Quite different for one from East Bay in California. It was Newton Alabama just outside of base.

I am disappointed the people of Alabama aren’t taking steps to rid themselves of the State School board and rid themselves of all textbooks that introduce false history into the curriculum. Bama boys from my days, way back when, would not take this well. Ever heard of tar and feathers??

Voting 5-2, the board approved a measure to recommend more than 500 new social studies textbooks for use in public schools, including 11 of 12 books concerned citizens asked the board to remove from the list.

I wonder if that is correct? It seems incredible that 500 different social studies textbook would be approved for use, or that 500 different ones even exist for grades K-12.

There is a boat load of information and some other links among interesting comments. Very sad case there.

The protest has been registered and dismissed, as was to be expected, how could anyone expect the objecting parents to go so far as to actually educate their own children instead of leaving it to the leftist dominated government indoctrination centers? /s

Do you ever have the impression that Satan is the most over represented character in American politics?
