Top television and radio host Glenn Beck said in an interview with Megyn Kelly on Fox News that he regrets some of his time at the cable network, when he hosted his own show, and admitted that he ratcheted rhetoric that helped drive a political wedge in America.

"I remember [my time on Fox] as an awful lot of fun and that I made an awful lot of mistakes," Mr. Beck said on Fox News on Tuesday night. "I think I played a role, unfortunately, in helping tear the country apart."

He also said if he could hit the rewind button, that he'd focus more on uniting, not dividing.

"I wish I could go back and be more uniting in my language," he said, Politico reported. "I didn't realize how really fragile the people were...

Mr. Beck's show ran on Fox News between 2009 and 2011...

He is a weird genius. He’s so protean. That’s what makes him interesting. Rush is Rush and always will be. Same with Hannity. You never know what your are going to hear from Beck. Kind of like Savage.

I’d say you hit the nail on the head. What percentage of people in this divided nation even know who he is?

Personally, I’m happy about all this. Years ago when his show was popular, certain people tore me apart for suggesting this man was a complete nutcase.

Who watched him so much that he managed to tear the entire country apart? What an ego! Did he cry when he said this?

The other thing that makes him fascinating, he is building a gigantic media empire. In plain sight. But nobody’s paying attention to it.

LOL.... I was banned from the 1210AM “Big Talker”, in Philadelphia when he first surfaced after 9-11. He was supposed to be, their calling card.

Beck is a goofball. A rich, successful goofball, but still a goofball. He should be listened to as much as Kim Kardashian.

Probably, maybe he was crying about ‘heterofascism’?

We are lost beyond redemption. Glenn Beck can or not be trusted by what he says.... MEANWHILE we have BOEHNER, PELOSI, REID, OBAMA. Discount everything that Beck has to say.... WHAT AN ORANIZED STUPIDITY!

It also comes not long after Edward Snowden ratted out the NSA. You KNOW Beck the alcoholic has some pretty big skeletons in his closet. And I noticed he came back to Fox to apologize. That tells me he’s doing what he’s being told to do. JMO

His radio show is a 3 hour ad for the blaze or whatever ghost written book of the month he has out. NutJob... the 2 parrots/co-hosts on his show are there to prop him up in his whackiness. He sets conservatives back and tarnishes the brand.

Delusions of grandeur.
= = = = ==

I am probably ‘fantasizing’ but on the occasion I may listen to the ‘Rush wannabees’ if a TV show or Political Panel mentions ‘Talk radio being disruptive’ - or such - those whose name may not be mentioned fall all over themselves, looking for ‘recognition’.

Much like the Sopranos when the ‘papers named names for the Federal Indictments, Christopher was driving himself into a frenzy because his name was NOT in the paper’.

The 3 ‘do funnys’ were talking about fame and one said:
“I want to be a ballet dancer and receive world wide acclaim for my talents”.
Another
“I want to be a writer and write about my experiences in life, have a best seller and be applauded”
The Third
“I want to be a pitcher for the Mets or Yanks. I will get the ball, walk around the mound, get the resin bag, walk some more and some Wise Guy New Yorker will yell out:
JUST THROW THE BALL C-S....er.

RECOGNITION, ALL I AM AFTER IS RECOGNITION”.

Bingo!
To think that Beck alone has contributed to the division of this nation is totally BS. The guy reminds me of some liberal who thinks history started the day they were born. Beck has tried to infuse some historical facts but whenever I watched his show I kept thinking, “Dude, what rock have you been hiding under?”
It is very difficult NOT to meet the ‘Progressive’s hysteria with that of your own. It then becomes the ol’ ‘wrestling with a pig’ .

I heard him say that, and it mystified me.

He’s done a lot of good work. He seems to be throwing dirt on the good work he’s done.
