What you may not know is that those military members had just crossed the finish line - they weren't resting - they had just crossed it. In full packs iirc. They had started the “race” at dawn, hours before the official start of the race, and had just finished their long (6-7 hours??) march.
And THEY were the ones that sprang to action. They do the marathon in support and memory of injured and dead friends. A guy from the same outfit was in Afghanistan and did his hike going around and around the compound for 24 miles or whatever it is.

Boston has been voting for this horsesh^^ for the past 50 years. They’ll love it because they feel “safe”. Few cities other than San Francisco, NY and Seattle have a populace with less common sense.
