Take a close look at the pictures of the Iranian men who used stolen passports to board the Malaysian Airlines plane that has been missing since Saturday. Notice anything off about it? Some, particularly on social media, have pointed out that the men appear to have the same bottom half, suggesting that the images were Photoshopped.
Look at the position of their feet. Look at the shadows. Look at the shape of the bag, especially in the context that the man on the left doesnt appear to be holding the same shape of bag in his top half.
After the issue started to gain traction, Malaysian officials confirmed the photo was altered, though said it was not done intentionally.
Asmawati Ahmad, spokeswoman for the Malaysian assistant police commissioner, told Agence France-Presse that the issue occurred when someone photocopied the images. She said it was not done with malice or to mislead and said this was explained when the images were handed out to members of the media.

Good point!
It’s Robert Redford’s life raft.
Nothing to see here, move along. It’s soooooooo obvious that it can’t be an attempt to deceive.
No harm no foul. Who knows the reason, who cares.
It is the zeitgeist (or spittlegeist) that since little barry bastard boy lies openly so can anyone else, especially media.
MISDIRECTION????? Or STUPIDITY or COVER-UP??
Much ado about nothing.
The life raft was found south of Kuala Lumpur perhaps currents deposited it there ..or? No surprise they “lost” it. Coverup going on, but why?
Because the correct photo is right there? Just ignore the part below the white line.
Amish Mafia?
Since this plane disappeared, I’ve wondered if there was someone on the plane that someone decided could not be allowed to reach Beijing. Inconsistencies such as these pictures add to conspiracy theories.
Well call me a snoop, but I want to see what is actually below the white line.
I suspect so. My gut feeling is that it was accidentally shot down by Chinese fighters.....
China has been flexing its muscles in the S. China sea and activly patrolling it's airspace with fighter jets. Back in November they scrambled fighters to investigate U.S. and Japanese aircraft flying through its new air defence zone over the East China Sea.
China scrambles fighter jets towards US and Japan planes in disputed air zone
Okay, but I doubt you’ll find he has a mermaid tail or anything that will prove unusual.
For those of you claiming a printer/copier jam / feed error:
That does not make sense.
Regardless of paper orientation, if one page fed halfway, then pulled the other over/under it.. you would end up with a head to the torso and then another head...
Or feet and legs followed by feet and legs.
If the pages were oriented in reverse, one would be upside down.
That makes sense. What's your second guess?
Simple matter of having two photos to copy, slamming them both in the copier, and not realizing the top photo is smaller than the bottom photo. Jeez, hoopla over nothing.
Could have been as simple as pulling both pages through at the same time (been there, had that happen). Or it could be a manual copy where both photos were together, slapped down on the glass, with the larger photo being behind the smaller photo for the first copy, then the larger photo being in front for the second.
That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the pics too.
They said it was an error by the guy operating the photocopier, not necessarily a feeder/jam problem.
It looks to me like the guy had two photos, made a copy of one properly, then opened the copier, took that one off the glass, put it behind the other photo, and then mistakenly placed both back on the copier, one on top of the other. Just a wild guess though.
