No, "I'm not off my rocker," Ed Schultz told his radio listeners after making an off-the-wall prediction. Actually, two predictions -- that Hillary Clinton is a virtual shoo-in who will waltz back into the White House, and that Dick Cheney will cave to pressure from movement conservatives and run for president.
As for the first prediction, I vaguely recall many pundits saying much along the same lines ... back in 2007, followed by Clinton's highly-touted inevitability fading by the month after she was blinded-sided by an obscure senator from Illinois who could work a Teleprompter like none before him.
But when it comes to that second prognostication -- you'll sooner see Cheney run the 800-meter hurdles in the next Summer Olympics.
SCHULTZ: Now, I want to ask all of you a question. How would you feel, uh, this is a familiar voice now, this is a familiar voice. This is a guy who's been around a long time. And I'm just going to ask you listeners out there to just play with this idea a little bit. Really, nobody on the Republican side is jumping out of the box when it comes to the status of a Hillary, OK? The expectation of a Hillary, the experience of a Hillary Clinton, a for-sure candidate, almost a shoo-in to be president of the United States. I mean, I think that's how a lot of people are thinking about Hillary Clinton. I know that Joe Biden wants to run and there are some others out there as well, but let's face it -- this horse race might be over before the gun sounds.
But this voice right here, I think, for lack of a better term, is the dark horse in the race. Here it is --

Pt 1/12 Democratic Presidential Debate 11-15-07
I wouldn't be surprised if Ms Clinton, if she chooses to run for pres. in 2016, has as much competition the next time around.
“This Schultz guy really thinks outside the box.”
What I want to know is who let him out?
Just think, he has an audience that goes to him for their information.
Is it possible that this guy can really be that big of an A-hole?
And yet it's still better than Hillary's.
More people read about it here on FR then heard it on PMSNBC.
I’m going with a Kerry/Castro ticket vs Paul/Cruz.
Dick Cheney is 73 and on his second heart. He has his hands full breaking-up fights between his daughters. He has NO interest in running for POTUS.
Sgt. Schultz has been hanging out in Colorado sampling the legal weed, apparently.
No more Clintons. No more Bush’s. Repeat it until you’re blue in the face.
This country has had enough of these two corrupt, elitist families.
But we know they won't. This is GOPe and they never do things right. We'll end up with another loser. Guaranteed.
Do not ask this guy to handicap your football picks. Cheney running for President in 2016, you got to be kidding. Cheney will be glad he is still alive in 2016, never mind running for President. If he did, with the stress and schedule he would be dead in weeks. I say this as someone who wishes Dick Cheney many years to come.
Ed is off his rocker. And drunk.
