Homicide investigators are gathering evidence after a father shoots and kills a teenage boy he found in his daughter's bedroom.

A spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff's office said Deputy constables from pct 4 responded to a 911 call around 2:20 a.m. about a shooting in the Bridgestone Lake Subdivision in Northwest Harris County.

I thought the only loaded weapon the boy had was his turgid pecker. Well, it’ll be up to the jury to decide.

Of course the shooter/father says the boy reached for something.

Whether it's true or not is a whole different story.

She’s not a little girl any more. She’s a lying whore who betrayed her “lover” (some way to show the love!) to his death.

A stranger in an occupied bedroom at 2AM, with the occupant denying any mitigating reason for his presence, has answered all questions regarding use of deadly force and awaits nothing more than “furtive movement” to justify its application. Things can go very wrong very fast, and the homeowner has reason to believe it will if the intruder does anything other than totally comply & submit immediately.

I’m not sure what I would have done, but what I would like to think I would have done is not shoot. At least until I got more of an answer than “I don’t know who he is, Dad”.

As stupid as the boy was, the girl doesn’t seem much brighter - and as strong of a firearm and home defense enthusiast as I am, I would hate to take a human life because of not one, but two stupid people.

I no doubt would be more than just angry - but don’t think I would kill over an obvious lie.

.

A man where we used to live (Victoria, Texas) came home and found a man ‘with’ his wife, over-powered him, took out his knife and neutered him on the spot.

Don’t know what happened to the guy- if he got off or not.
Both men were prominent citizens, and it brought about much whispering and giggling about the situation.

Way to misrepresent the cause and effect.

He knew he was sneaking into a home under conditions where his presence would be seriously unwelcome. He shouldn’t have been there and he knew it, and she knew it, and she denied inviting him, and she denied knowing him, and he made a movement which a reasonable person could conclude had unacceptable odds of grave harm, and the homeowner had reason to believe someone was about to die, and he had but a split second to decide who that would be.

Sometimes poor choices result in a terminal conflict of [more or less] legitimate interests. Tragic at best. Still entirely understandable.

“Deserves” doesn’t apply, but still a perfectly reasonable consequence.

Pity for those who can’t understand that some see the outcome as a reasonable response to a very bad situation. Just because someone doesn’t exclaim “OMG! Tragedy!” doesn’t mean they don’t see it; no need to condemn those who conclude “yup, right response to the situation as perceived.”

I believe many of you are mistaken in the belief that anyone is happy someone is dead. We are happy that we have a right to defend our homes.

This is a tragedy that I am certain that everyone involved will pay a price for in some way and probably for many years.

I raised four daughters and had my unfair share of boys hanging around my house! No one ever entered my home after 10PM - I have since found out that one of my daughters left after 10PM a few times, but no boys were ever brought into my home. My daughters were told plain and simple, “If I find someone in my house other than those who live here, after 10PM, I SHOOT FIRST AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER!” Since I had ran off more than enough less-than-worthy suitors, scolded those who needed scolding and demanded that ALL suitors have a sit down meal with me and my family before they even went on a first date, my daughters knew that I meant it. In speaking with my adult daughters, they have told me they believed it.

In this situation, you have a heated situation, in the middle of the night, an argument ensues and the boy moves, I am not going to try to do an investigation, I am going to protect me and my family first and investigate after the perceived threat is gone. More than anything, I am thankful that I have that right to defend me and my family in this manner.

Prayers for all involved! They are going to need it!

I’m not saying its an unreasonable consequence. My problem with some who are either a) celebrating the outcome, or b) implying the kid got exactly what he deserved.

And really, what dad couldn’t figure out the boy was invited in by his daughter if he was hiding under the bad?

***
I am a mother and not a father, but I seriously doubt if I would come to that conclusion under these circumstances, i.e., thinking a stranger is in your daughter’s room ready to rape her. My first instinct would be to protect my child at all costs.

I hope this girl comes to her senses and stops acting like a tramp. And, since it appears that it is her sneaking and lies that got this boy killed, she caused her father to have to kill someone. I am sure that is a heavy burden for this man to bear, justified homicide or not.

She is still his daughter and the “rapist” as the father understood him to be is dead.

“Screwing around in the girl’s house with the family at home is very poor judgement, but I remember how strong the mating drive is at that age. I hope she was worth it.”

“Mating Drive”, huh? I guess that’s one way of putting it. I just remember being horny as hell.

And no, a little tail is not worth dying for. Generally. Haven’t seen the pictures tho.

Sneaking into a man's home to bang his minor daughter...in the middle of the night...in Texas...

I don't know how you do things, but my daughter, at 16, had no authority to invite anyone into MY house without my expressed permission.

The movement the scared teen made may have been towards the daughter, looking for cover from a pissed off dad. That may be what cost him his life. Have to get more facts.

Really? So she’s 16 years old, home after school, and a girlfriend comes over, and she’s not allowed to invite her into the house unless you are at home to provide actual permission. Wow.

They have these things called PHONES which people use to get “expressed permission.” Not sure why he would have to be home in order for her to comply with this simple, reasonable expectation.

But way to go to the extreme.
