Kerry suggests defining Israel as “national homeland for Jews”
Jihad Watch ^ | 3/30/14 | Robert Spencer

Why exactly a “national homeland for Jews” would be acceptable to “Palestinian” Islamic supremacists in a way that “Jewish state” isn’t remains unclear, but the “Palestinians,” as maximalist and unilateral as ever, have already rejected the proposal, so we will probably never glimpse the arcane reasoning processes of the formidable Kerry.

“Report: Kerry suggests defining Israel as ‘national homeland for Jews,’” by Roi Kais for Ynet News, March 29 (thanks to Jerk Chicken):

US Secretary of State John Kerry is trying to overcome the controversy surrounding the recognition of Israel as a Jewish state by changing the definition to “the national homeland of the Jews”, the London-based Arabic Al-Hayat newspaper reported Saturday morning.

The report, that quoted western diplomatic sources, noted that in exchange for Kerry’s initiative, the Palestinians would have to agree that the Palestinian capital would be established only in parts of East Jerusalem; it was further reported that the Palestinians have rejected the proposal.

Just another not so subtle attempt by American marxists to paint the Israeli government as being irrational by not complying with an attempt by this administration to redefine the impasse by way of changing the wording of certain issues by way of lingual sleight of hand.

The thing is, the Israelis and the Arabs aren't so easily misled, but then again, the entire point of this exercise is to paint the Israelis as intransigent in the eyes of the low information voters in America so that more and more Americans will view Israel as the problem. Unfortunately, it will work in many sections of America, especially in our educational system and all corners of our government, not to mention the large number of clueless voters who will push the button for a democrat without understanding reality.

You know what, I'm going to a piece of some country and say that piece of land is the homeland of my people and I'm going to keep saying it for 100 years and eventually, people like Kerry and O will let me have it. Just keep saying it over and over, never stop, and you'll get it just to shut you up.

The Arabs who claim to be Palestinians (there is no such separate people), have kept it up until they are getting it and the Israelis are just some weird people who just happened to be on that land for well over 2,000 years. From the time of Israel's beginning, the world has tried to eliminate these people from the earth. It will never happen.

Every truly intelligent person knows in their heart that Israel is peace-loving and that the sad state of affairs in the ME is the fault of Israel's enemies.

Antisemitism and the lust for oil are the principal reasons people side against Israel and for the Palestinians

Israel has made some incomprehensible errors IMO. Giving control of the Temple Mount back to their enemies after retaking Jerusalem. WTF were they thinking!?

Giving Gaza to their enemies instead of running them out of Israel is another WTF were they thinking moment.

Jews in the US have had that fear before.

Well, Kerry. You’re a bit late.

Does “Balfour” mean anything to you?

Did I miss something? I thought that Israel was already the Jewish homeland. The fact the Arabs won’t accept this is a Muslim racist problem. Count Kerry on the side of the Muslim racists.

Kerry, only about 125 years too late, but that is typical of him.

Israel needs to advise Hamas and the Palestinians that all of Gaza is forfeit if they don’t quit their attacks. Advise El Sisi in Egypt that he may have company coming

Zionism demands a publicly recognized and legally secured homeland in Palestine for the Jewish people. This platform is unchangeable.

It's not that I mind our officials going 19th century, but given the fact that the Arabs have opposed the idea from the days of the late 19th century until today, I wonder what John thinks has changed.

“How about defining Israel as: the nation of Israel.”

I agree. That’s what ‘Israel’ means. But, the Romans thought that ‘Palestine’ was first settled by Philistines, who were, by the way, an offshoot of Phoenecians. Baal, throw your firstborn into the fire, etc. So if there are any Baal worshipping Phoenecians, they could argue to the UN that they settled there first. Not that I believe it.

But one thing is CLEAR — no used camel salelsman [named Muhammad] was born before the formation of that land. ‘Holy’ or not, first claim goes to Israel by several centuries over any of these ‘Johnny-come-latelys’. They only had claim by conquest, the same claim the US has over claiming Native American land. But I don’t see the UN announcing that Salt Lake City should be the ‘Vatican’ for Mormons.

Phoenicians and Canaanites are basically the same group—”Phoenician” is just the Greek name for that population. The Philistines were immigrants (ca. 1200 BC/BCE/vuZ/pne), apparently from somewhere in the Aegean (they are one of the so-called “Sea Peoples” mentioned in a couple of Egyptian texts from about that time) but assimilated and lost their language. Herodotus mentions a “Syria Palaistine” in what seems to be the area of the Philistine city-states. Somehow the memory of the Philistines had continued to be associated with that region or else the Romans probably wouldn’t have used the name “Palaestina.”

The only thing to cause the Arabs and Muslim countries to feel that there is peace in the Mideast is for Israel to be completely destroyed and every Jew killed.

There is not other solution for them.

Kerry is an ass, and Bibi is quite aware that he and Obama are Dumb and Dumber.

Every time I see a picture of Kerry posing as a Statesman I just laugh. As well as when I see impeached serial rapist Bill Clinton (the TOP most adored democrat "statesman".} It's a Bizarro world...
