Conservative activist launches boycott of Firefox browser
American Thinker ^ | 04/05/2014 | Rick Moran

Ben Shapiro of the website TruthRevolt isn't taking the actions of gay activists who forced CEO Brenden Eich out of his CEO position at Mozilla lying down. In fact, Shapiro has called for a boycott of Mozilla's Firefox browser as a way for conservatives to show their displeasure with the outrageous intolerance demonstrated by gay activistis.

Washington Times:

Conservative activist Ben Shapiro is leading up an online charge of fellow political compadres to boycott the browser Firefox — an outraged response to the Mozilla chief’s departure from his CEO role due to gay rights’ protests.

Former CEO Brendan Eich, who’s been with Mozilla since its creation and actually helped found the company’s charitable offshoot foundation in 1998, announced this week he’s stepping down from the role over a flap generated by a $1,000 donation he made to a California campaign that sought to ban same-sex marriage in the state.

Actually, that would be useful (a list of gay friendly companies by rank).

It does feel good to fight back the fascists by way of boycott.

Free Republic could block users using Firefox.

Why would they do that? Shouldn't such an alleged boycot be up to the user?

It should. If it doesn’t, there’s links to download older versions.

Mozilla was already in trouble with its Window 8 Firefox, Thunderbird on its way out, etc.

The CEO should probably have been booted for the organization’s poor performance, but with its vulnerability it could become a poster child for anti-PC conservative blowback.

Sorry, Been using FF since version .1. My ‘bookmarks’ file is over 15 years old. Wouldn’t switch when the faggot mafia were screaming about it. WOn’t switch now. It’s a tool. It works. Don’t feel like changing.

Yep. Especially since the latest Opera v20 won’t import bookmarks, despite claims that it will.

I don’t know the political leaning (libertarian, maybe), but one of the most secure browsers is Tor browser. Nothing gets tracked. It even makes it look like you are browsing from a different location than where you actually are. I’ve received messages from Google and FB when using it and logging in because I didn’t appear to be in my “usual” locations.
