Is Mozilla legally a hostile workplace under both state and federal laws?

Posted on 04/06/2014 11:03:10 AM PDT by airedale

Hasn't the lead up to, the firing and subsequent press release made Mozilla a hostile workplace not only for those who financially supported Prop. 8 or similar laws, but anyone who does not fully support same sex marriage? Can a Mormon, Evangelical or other conservative Christian, Muslim, religious Jew have a career at Mozilla? Do they have to live in fear if their actual views or suspected views don't comply with Mozilla' s idea of diversity (agree with same sex marriage or be forced out?)

Are those news organizations supporting Mozilla' s decision also making their business a hostile work place?

The thing that struck me were the fawing and craven statements from this CEO, in his attempt to to suck-up to the politically correct Red Guards and homosexual lobby.... You can not compromise with radicals.

That is why these discussings are meaningless. It's time to get it on. Forget the rhetoric. If not succumb & live as slaves.

Unfortunately, your freedom of thought/opinion/speech
about this guy is deemed punishable in the court of political correctness. Any action or inaction on your part will be viewed and judged by the politically correct. It is important that the left make you out to be a criminal or otherwise evil. Even sitting down and shutting up has become a subversive act.

Hmm. Some employee of Mozilla would have to step up and make the complaint....

I think his position was getting the job done and working with the team was more important than differences. But Eich failed to grasp what “diversity” is really about. I put the word in quotes since this is yet another example of Marxist-Leninist corruption of the language. Diversity now means adherence to the Party doctrine of attacking class enemies of the Party.

Not only Mozilla is potentially on the legal hot seat for Eich’ s constructive discharge in violation of both federal and California laws prohibiting religious discrimination. I think a very good case can be made against OK Cupid as a tortfeasor, for tortious interference ‘swith contractual relations. The same can be said about any of the other parties who were loudly calling for Eich’ s scalp.

I think they will add to the appearance of a hostile workplace if ext CEO is an supporter of gay marriage whether are LGBT or straight. That would reinforce the message that not support gaY marriage or what ever position these intolerant folks pushing next.

What fawning and craven statements? Cite us some examples.

Read his March 26th comments on being named CEO. It says nothing about technology, health of the company, etc... Its a mea culpa to PC correctness and attacks on him

So what you are saying is that his paying lip service to the Gaystapo at Mozilla has more gravitas than him donating money to a group in favor of Prop 8?

Can a faithful Catholic be an employee of Mozilla? Same question about an Evangelical Christian.

If one is an employee of Mozilla, and then it comes out you favor man/woman marriage only - can they fire you without some other reason? Could a lawsuit be raised against the company of they fire you?

All faith-filled persons need to rise up against this fascism!

I’m trying Postbox. So far it seems fully compatible with Thunderbird.

Absolutely - unfortunately if it goes to court some paid-for faggot in a black robe will dismiss it.

What you are saying is a total lie. He was not craven at all. You would be lucky to be half the man he is.
