Lawbreaking Rancher Cliven Bundy Wins Victory That Will Embolden Domestic Terrorists (BARF!)

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management announced today that it was ending its effort to seize Cliven Bundy’s herd of cattle that has been illegally grazing on federal land. The reason the BLM suspended the cattle round up was to protect the safety of federal employees and members of the general public. Bundy and a smattering of his right-wing supporters have threatened to wage a range war if the government continues with its effort to enforce the law. Let that sink in for a minute. The government is halting their efforts to enforce the law because of the threats being made by Bundy supporters.

In other words, the threat of violent opposition to the federal government enforcing current law, caused the government to back down and yield to the demands of domestic terrorists.

The FEDs have unilaterally changed the property rights over time.

As indicated before you need go go back and review the history of Federal Lands (now no longer owned by "The People").

Do you agree that Property Taxes turn the property that they tax into rental property?

Land owned by the Government??? Land stolen from the Indians by the sanctimonious Government is more truthful.

Not really a response, just something I came across...

I can NOT vouch for the accuracy of this.

And probably for good reason.

No, although it sure seems that way. I’m a resident of Texas, a place which has some crazy-high property taxes relative to valuation, but where we also had the good sense to retain sovereignty over our state public lands when we were admitted to the Union.

Wayne’s twin brother Keith Brekhus, a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in sociology, shares his brother’s passion for sociology, but his affinity for the subject stems from a passion for social justice.

“There are a lot of things that I had questions about with respect to social inequality and why things are the way they are,” Keith Brekhus said. “Why some people have so much access to power and wealth and other people don’t, why things like racism and gender oppression continue to persist.”

Keith Brekhus is a teaching assistant for Sociology of the Family and hopes to complete his master’s degree next year. He said he hopes that his career path will allow him to continue his commitment to activism and social justice.

“I probably will teach at a university, but I am also pretty involved in activism,” Keith Brekhus said. “I used to be the public outreach coordinator for Mid-Missouri Peaceworks, and I circulated petitions for the minimum wage increase to be on the ballot in November. My proposed master’s thesis is to look at FBI repression against Arab and Muslim Americans post-Sept. 11.”

‘Land owned by the Government??? Land stolen from the Indians by the sanctimonious Government is more truthful.’

Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. US and Mexico fought over the land. US won and paid Mexico for it.

Natives on th eland failed in their attempts to keep the land from Spain, Great Britain, then Mexico, then the US.

The land belongs to whoever fights for it the hardest. We see proof of that in this skirmish.

So any Law must be a good law, and not a criminal unConstitutional law?

The writer must have peed in his pants thinking about armed Ranchers.
Will they start calling the residents of NV hicks now? (D)Reids own state?

IOW, if you don't let the tyrannical government squash your spirit and step on your neck, you are a problem that needs to be dealt with.

Then there are those who would say that this is a signal that the government cannot continue to betray the trust of the People with its continuance of illegal and un-Constitutional terrorism and thuggery...
