Photos from the home of White House Press Secretary Jay Carney that accompany a Washingtonian magazine puff piece this week have caused a bit of a stir online after enterprising reporters and bloggers had a closer look. Take a look at the first one:

I find it hard to believe the Dems would let their spokesguy do a photoshoot with Soviet art hanging in his living room. It’d be like doing an Obama shoot with Koranic verses hanging on the wall. I think they’re messing with us. But the fact that they met in Moscow is an interesting point. If the posters are real then that’s what whould be causing a buzz, not the fingers and books.

I happen to have two Nazi propaganda posters framed in my family room. I got them from my time when I lived and worked in Germany.
