There is no mention of Harry Reid and his wanting to clear the land of cattle so that he and his son can proceed with plans for building a solar plant with the Chinese. In that regard the article is far from being complete.
Can't but agree, especially with a collectivist like Obama in the WH. We may have won this battle but it will probably reoccur, either at the Bundy ranch or elsewhere. One of these times, however, it will not end so peaceably.

Not sure I’ve ever even seen a BLM sort here in Texas..... , albeit most of our state property is privately owned they have no real purpose here I suppose.

The Federal government was in violation of the Constitution because they never ceeded title to 86% of the land comprising Nevada when it became a state.
“The United States government owns and has broad authority to regulate federal lands in Nevada,” the BLM arrogantly insists. “In response to challenges of federal ownership of the lands in Nevada, the 9th circuit held that the federal government owned all federal lands in Nevada, and that those lands did not pass to the state upon statehood.”
This is in direct conflict with Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17 of the Constitution.
I would agree to the extent that it is because the federal government is today commanded by aged 1960s New Left Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats and their ideological issue -- arguably even that they are the Establishment.
As talk of war in eastern Europe, Asia, wherever and whatever I can see crackdowns on "sedition" to destroy critics.. again I predict a repeat of FDR'S Great Sedition Trial of 1944.

I heard on the Mark Levin show a night or two ago that the tortoises they are so concerned about are actually thriving - so much so that they are euthanizing them in the protected areas that have been set aside for them. Also, he said they have existed with the cattle for many years with no ill effect. I have not heard that reported anywhere else. The real story, of course, is Harry Reid, his son and the solar farms the Chinese want to build on that land - the new head of the BLM Nevada - a Reid donor. Additionally, as someone here posted a few days ago, why does the Fed. Government own sooooo much of the territory of the western U.S.? It looks like a third of the entire U.S. if not more!
