Fox News toured the damage -- allegedly caused by the Bureau of Land Management -- which included holes in water tanks and destroyed water lines and fences. According to family friends, the bureau's hired "cowboys" also killed two prize bulls.

"I’m still wondering if Bundy had any kind of controlled Genealogical breading program."

As far as I know, Bundy is a rancher not a baker.

The cattle were already loose, that's why they are known as 'free-range' cattle. I believe only the bulls were penned up, and think someone mentioned on another thread that they might have temporarily corralled some mother cows with calves so they did not get accidentally stepped on or otherwise hurt.

The BLM might try again, but if they do then they are truly mad, as only a truly bonkers BLM employee would not realize that more people will be there with cellphone cams and perhaps even some vidcams as well -and the word about their actions and their personal information will get out to eventually bring them to justice.

How does “seize and impound” translate to “transporting a man’s property across state lines for sale”?

It's just another method by which various governmental agencies have been operating for decades. A few years ago, I had to leave town to attend to a sickly relative. The local authorities where I was living had a "parked three days and it will be towed as abandoned" law on the books, and since I was gone over three months before I was able to return, they had already impounded and towed the vehicle. When I finally got someone who was able to determine where it was, I was informed that since I had not made arrangements to pay the 25 US dollars a day for its storage or made any attempt to reclaim it, it had been shipped out of the state to be sold at general auction in some undisclosed location.

The Bundy's situation is a much more severe version of their gestapo tactics, although I must admit that cattle are much more valuable than a mere vehicle.

Seeing those photos, I am actually surprised that they did not simply kill all the cattle they had rounded up instead of releasing them back to the Bundy family. I want to know who pulled the triggers and killed them. Pictures, then names, then possible court appearances to answer charges.

Wondering if they didnt inject his cattle with some disease before setting them loose to kill all his cattle. Is this a tin foil moment?

Ouch! Now that's just plain EVIL.

Why am I not wondering if this government would not seriously consider doing that...

Maybe because I know they were quite capable of burning to death men, women, and little children in Waco and got away with it to this day. I think we need to pay close attention to the possibilities available today, and make sure every decent citizen that rallies to the support of the Bundys and their ranch takes lots of videos and records every conversation with the JBTs. We need to make them realize that they are crossing a line when they decide that they are not bound to respect us, from whom their paychecks are derived. THEY work for US!

I know many real cowboys. I guess they could be called “Contract Cowboys” in that they catch cows that are difficult to round up.

Not a single real cowboy would shoot a bull because they were scared. These guys know range cattle, most really like cattle and they take pride in knowing how to handle them without resorting to shooting them.

Any cattle shooting can undoubtedly be traced to the BLM SWAT dudes, who either killed the cattle because they feared them or out of spite.

Fourteen years ago they were popping the letter “W” off keyboards...now it’s progressed to this.

until Easter weekend to further demonize Bundy and hit him either Saturday or Sunday morning.

Which is probably why the Bundy's are planning a huge ranch picnic this weekend. All are invited.

His grazing season might be as short as 5-6 months, making your annual fee guess even lower.

Likely the bulls were not on open range, but that wouldn’t stop the Federales from running afoul of them and declaring they needed to shoot them.

Yeah, I haven't heard that the rodeos have a bull shooting event yet.

"Could the Bundy’s bill the government for 150 years of work maintaining the land?"

Bundy needs to send the BLM a bill for all of the water and feed his cows have distributed over all of the acres to benefit the tortoises.

It would have been simpler to pay Bundy’s grazing fees...

And it was taxpayer dollars, I didn’t get a vote on that, did you?
