Who would deny that Hillary could use a little softening of her icy image? But when Andrew Ross Sorkin had the audacity to suggest that Clinton's impending grandma-hood would work to her advantage in that regard, the collective wrath of the Morning Joe panel descended on him.
John Heilemann, as is his habit, sneered. "Republican" Nicolle Wallace actually led the Sorkin scolding, suggesting it was "stupid" to think as he did.

Not that she’ll need it, because she’ll win anyway, but damn right she’s going to milk that “loving Grandma” image for all it’s worth. That grandbaby will be the most photographed child prop since Prince William.

Does anyone remember Tricia or Julie Nixon’s pregnancies being huge news items - or Susan Ford’s, or Amy Carter’s (even possible???) Not even Jenna Bush’s pregnancy was this big a deal.
Why on earth does anyone care about Chelsea Clinton’s pregnancy?
And so. When the girl delivers up a litter of Heinz 57 pups, how is Granny Hillary to be perceived?
Frankly, this granny thing is a desperate attempt to garner some sympathetic respect from people who have no connection with their progeny. These supposedly sympathetic people have been hell bent for leather on shackling their heirs with government oppression and debt for decades. They have been MURDERING them to the tune of millions with convenient lifestyle choice abortions for God’s sake!
I don’t think it matters one bit to a populace that is steeped in self-interest, leeching and deceit. It’s more useless Democrat pablum that can be spewed to a willing and complicit media intent on helping them.
Lastly, please! No one here tell me that Chelsea is off limits as a target. When she is showcased in a campaign event and in the media as the darling preggers daughter of HillBill, she deserves all the condemnation one can bestow.

As much as she’ll hate doing it, she’ll tote the baby around attempting to look like the loving granny to help her along. That way she can use the poor child to demonstrate why everybody needs “free” health care and “free” education, guaranteed employment, blah, blah, blah. There was a charmingly cheesy fantasy movie years ago, called “The Sword and the Sorcerer” (1982), in which, at the start of the movie, the bad guy, a king, decides to resurrect a hideous, evil sorcerer.

I think it would be hilarious to do a gif of selected frames from this scene, but with Hillary’s head pasted over that of the demon sorcerer.
The weird thing is that Chelsea once lamented that her great-grandmother did not have access to abortion services when she became pregnant as an unwed teen. She gave birth to the child that would become Hillary’s mother.
It’s hard to say how they’ll play this. They might want to avoid the “Grandma Hillary” image because it may create the perception that she is too old to be President - especially if this is coupled with another medical incident that can’t be hidden from the public.
