his choice to begin the trip directly in PA-held Bethlehem My first thought was that he wanted to begin the trip in the same place where Jesus began His earthly life. It takes a stretch of imagination to consider that an endorsement of the PA, let alone a call to end "occupation" (you cannot occupy what is yours).
