But the liberals have told us that we need to worry about the great flood happening.............

Liberals would have you believe that the major issues facing us are global warming, homosexual marriage, traitors in military prison getting sex change operations, and the Koch brothers spending money in politics.

There is another factor that affects global warming.

It is not man made burning of carbon fuel, but the increased presence of the Holy Spirit. For the same reason that a prayer to an evil person is like placing hot coals upon their heads and the weeds will be burned in the tribulation times, the earth is warming up.

The earth is being purified.

Gee, you really mean we are all not going to drown by 2050?

Here is one sure sign of why this stuff is all nonsense: the government is not issuing 100 year bonds, yet.

So far, we've spent a bazillion dollars on this climate fiasco....and nothing has changed. The water laps, the sun rises, the moon pulls and tugs, it's cold in the winter and warm in the summer.

The only change is what's left in your wallet.

1st qtr, 2014 U.S. economic growth was at .01% indicating that the economic goal of “Sustainable Development/Agenda 21” as adopted by the U.S. has largely been met.This also fulfills the machevellian wish of Maurice Strong, UN Chairman of UNCED aka The Rio Earth Summit where in 1992 he articulated the veiled intentions of the “Plan for the 21st Century- Sustainable Development/Agenda 21” by saying this in regard to our “unsustainable” high consumption of natural resources which is, according to them destroying the Earth; “...isen’t it our responsibility to bring about the collapse of the industrialized countries?” Now, to become truly as “Sustainable” as Bangladesh is, more vital work is quickly needed to further collapse and “Degrow” the economy. This will be accomplished by more draconian restrictions on business and energy use which will be mandated by arbitrary regulations spawned by the bogus hype to save the planet from the dread effects of antropogenic Global Warming aka Climate Change aka Climate Disruption.

Do any of these calculations figure in the amount of evaporation, all over the seas and oceans, that the rise in temperature would produce?

One can easily prove the same thing without using any math.

Place some ice cubes in a drinking glass.

Then fill the glass almost full with water.

Mark the water level with some kind of tape on the outside of the glass.

Allow the ice cubes to melt.

Observe the new water level.

Class dismissed.

When the value of homes in wealthy coastal [liberal] communities starts to dramatically decline because of fears of sea level rise, I might begin to take it seriously.

From one of the comments at the article.

The Bible can tells us it is not happening since the beginning of time.

Psalm 104: 5-9

He set the earth on its foundations;
it can never be moved.
6 You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.
7 But at your rebuke the waters fled,
at the sound of your thunder they took to flight;
8 they flowed over the mountains,
they went down into the valleys,
to the place you assigned for them.
9 You set a boundary they cannot cross;
never again will they cover the earth.

Consider that Al Gore, a supposed true believer in global warming, recently purchased a $9 million seaside mansion in California. However, his Nobel prize winning movie and his public harangues about melting ice caps show that the California coast would soon be inundated by rising sea levels. From this one could conclude that either Al Gore is hopelessly stupid and will soon have his mansion under water OR Gore is a charlatan pushing his global warming fraud in order to make the millions he needed to buy a $9 million seaside mansion in California.

OK so sounds right
But now let be fair and use the same math for a different test...The biblical flood..how much water needed. Where did it come from where did it go?

Flooding can can be temporary and localize..because flooded normal are top down.not bottom.up

The climate on earth has been in flux since before the beginning of life. It is arrogant conceit to think man capable of altering natural change and a reprehensible political ploy.

This falacious sea ice argument can be dispelled this way.
The melting of sea ice which is what they’re talking about can be compared to a 12 oz glass filled with 5 oz of water and 5 ounces of ice. There is still only 10oz of liquid left once the ice is melted. There is no increase in the volume of liquid.

This compares to the required 930 cubic miles of water per year for 86 years to get to a sea level rise of 3 feet at the end of the century — a factor of almost 7 times what is said to be observed. Stated differently, at the new alarmingly increased level of ice melt it would take about 600 years for the purported 3 foot rise in sea level to obtain; the implied rise is 6 one-hundreds of an inch per year, or about 5.25 inches by the year 2100.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but in the long years of my life I've only met one reporter who could do math beyond high school algebra ...
