NEW YORK – Justin Bieber is apologizing after a years-old video surfaced showing the then-teenager telling a racist joke with the N-word.
In a statement Sunday to The Associated Press, Bieber said when he was a kid he didn't realize how certain words could hurt. He says he learned from his mistakes and apologized for them, and now is apologizing again because they have become public.

I can’t stand that guy but I’m sick of everybody’s false apologies. They are only sorry when they get caught. For once, I wish someone would say, “hey, you don’t like it? F*!k You, I don’t care!”

I’m not a Bieber fan by a long shot, but this was years ago when the kid was only 15. I thank God nobody was taping or writing down every word I said when I was 15. At that age, I was a bit of a jerk at times.
Now he needs to apologize for his crappy music.

No, he can’t just apologize. The standard has been set. Based on the Sterling criteria, this kid has to lose everything, be forced out of his career, be blacklisted, shunned, and never heard from again. He has to have concerts canceled and recording deals snuffed out.
We have to do all of the above to prove how liberal we are.

He’ll get away with it. He’s a teenage “hearthrob” and a useless slob. Why the different treatment? He deserves the same treatment as Sterling.
Well, if we are going to be consistent and apply the criteria used against Sterling, Paula Deen, etc. who have violated the liberals strict standards, Bieber has to pay the same price.
How in the sam hill did we get so politically correct? Among other things, we really are in Orwell’s 1984. And why is it that the liberals are the ones who decide who gets to survive and prosper, and who is driven out of public life?
I would boycott him (if I wasn’t already.)
