‘Getting worse by the hour’: FNC reports Bergdahl renounced US citizenship

" John Ekdahl @JohnEkdahl Follow If confirmed, this would be a bit of a game-changer. 9:52 AM - 3 Jun 2014"

That’s putting it mildly.

If this report from Fox News national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin is true, the Bergdahl affair just got a whole lot stickier:

"Jenna Lee ✔ @Jennafnc Follow Great reporting from @JenGriffinFNC - new report: Berghdal left behind a note renouncing American citizenship...developing... 9:43 AM - 3 Jun 2014"

"David Shor @IshYimini Follow

OMG. https://twitter.com/jennafnc/status/473852493286633472 … he left us behind. This is a game changer. He should be happy we didn't drone him. 9:53 AM - 3 Jun 2014"

Apparently BB was never a POW with the Teleban but was a hostage of a group from Pakastan know for kidnapping people for ransom. Ollie North and others have explained the difference and how it will effect his legal stand. Lots of conflicting material. Much of it put out by DC and their agents

The five detainees look more and more like smoke cover for using tax money to pay the ransom

“or serving as a commissioned or non-commissioned officer in the armed forces of a foreign state;”

With respect, that is not always true. Like all countries, the USA is not averse to loaning officers to allies, with no risk of them losing their citizenship for taking a post in an allied army command. It comes down to permission being granted by the Pentagon. In times of active warfare, for example WW2, permission is implied as having been granted, and no penalty is judged against them.

The brass is not always completely foolish. Units get separated and sometimes repatriation is difficult and time consuming.

Now we know the reason why our SpecOp CO’s refused any rescue meetings to save this deserting traitor. He was helping the Taliban on how to defeat his former Army buddies.

Special forces found Bergdahl and captors but wouldn’t risk rescue for ‘deserter’

Washington Times ^ | 06/03/2014 | Guy Taylor

Posted by SeekAndFind

The Pentagon on several occasions had ground-level intelligence on where ArmySgt. Bowe Bergdahl was being held captive at various times — down to how many gunmen were guarding him — but special operations commanders repeatedly shelved rescue missions because they didn’t want to risk casualties for a man they believed to be a “deserter,” sources familiar with the mission plans said.

Commanders on the ground debated whether to pull the trigger on a rescue several times in recent years, according to one of the sources, a former high-level intelligence official in Afghanistan, who said the conclusion each time was that the prospect of losing highly trained troops was too high a price to pay for rescuing a soldier who walked away from his unit before being captured by the enemy.

A second source told The Washington Times that the rescue operation plans were “high risk” and became even less attractive in recent months when officials in the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations Command grew convinced that the Taliban and the militant Haqqani network, whose operatives were holding Sgt. Bergdahl, were eager to cut a deal for his release.

I also read that there was shoot on sight orders as they believed Bergdahl was aiding and abetting the enemy.

WH apologizes to Senate intel chief for prisoner swap secret

Feinstein told reporters that she received a call from Deputy National Security Adviser Tony Blinken on Monday evening apologizing for what the administration is calling an “oversight.”

“I had a call from the White House last night, from Tony Blinken, apologizing for it,” she said.

“He apologized and said it was an oversight,” she added.

$inator DiFi says the White House broke the law on Bergdahl.

Apparently, Bergdahl showed his Taliban buddies how to avoid the ambushes our soldiers used.

IMPEACH?? No .... that is exactly what the DICTATOR Obama wants. He intends to push the country to impeachment because he KNOWS the DNC (Demorats) may lose the Senate next fall. The GOP needs 2/3rds of the Senate for a full impeachment. It will be Clinton all over again. The GOP got blamed for it, nothing happened except they lost the next best of two elections....impeachment should happen, but only if most of the country agrees. How do you get around that??????

I respect Col North very much - I went to work at HQMC PP&O soon after he left there, and worked with many people who knew him well.

Nothing that Col North says goes against the possibility that Bergdahl collaborated with the Taliban. It just means that at some time before his release, he was transferred to the Haqqanis.

James Rosen is claiming that intelligence sources are claiming that Bergdahl collaboration with the Taliban was "As Serious As You Can Imagine".
http://dailycaller.com/2014/06/04/foxs-rosen-sources-claim-bergdahls-taliban-collaboration-as-serious-as-you-can-imagine/

If those claims are true, then Bergdahl is no longer a US citizen, and the BIG question becomes did Obama have, or should have had, this information? And if he did, he still went ahead with the transfer? That could get VERY serious.
