Hey Homer I hear on SO CAL news they found recording from radio broadcast inside KNX 1070am radio archives they try clean it up for digial I hear some of it last night

I absolutely love the recording of Kate Smith, "the songbird of the South", born in Greenville, Virginia, reciting the Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Does anyone wonder why she was so popular in those days?
