True, Funny and Sad Story:

When I lived in Chicago a few years back, I freelanced for a company that did yearbook photos. I photographed kids in many of the schools on the South Side of Chicago.

On picture day, I would show up to find the waiting students composed of roughly 90%+ females. The first time this happened, I thought it was odd, so I questioned the students about it.

I was told that most of the boys wouldn’t show up on picture day so their photos wouldn’t be in the year book. This was because the local police precincts would send someone over to the school to get a copy of the new year book each year. The cops would then use the yearbook as a mugshot book to help victims identify perps.

The boys who didn’t show up for picture day didn’t want anyone to be able to identify them.

You can do the math on that one.

Not surprised...Much of LE has been doing this for years....In fact most have all but installed cop substations in many schools nowadays.

When I was a kid I always figured the yearbook scam was a government scheme. If it wasn't it should have been.

Another thing that gets me is how dead set determined reporters are to get your age, as if readers give a crap whether some middle aged woman who won the local quilting contest is precisely 44.
