It would be interesting to know which charities he supports, how much he donates per year, and what he has personally done to help the poor.

My guess is that it’s probably not very much. They have expenses, you know.

This is why Libs advocate for expansion of SSI disability and food stamps so much. They all make a good living for basically doing nothing so they figure the rest of America should be able to do so too. Just tax those evil “rich” people to pay for it. Oh, wait, he is one of the evil, idle rich.

I’ll bet somebody in India could teach a class on poverty via the internet for a lot less than this guy is getting...

Massah Gene Nichol. All you students borrow some more money so you can pay him to tell you about the plight of the poor people. Just don’t get in his way when he’s going to his four bedroom beach house for the weekend.

"The University of North Carolina School of Law pays Professor Gene Nichol $205,400 annually for his one class per semester workload. On top of his teaching salary, he receives a $7,500 stipend as director of the law school’s Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity."

To bad he isn't Black, he could be making twice that amount.

I guess being female earns more too.

"His wife, chief of staff for the UNC Health Care System and the UNC School of Medicine, earns $407,000 annually."

Education in this country has become a joke.

These “educators” need an education. Their wealth obviously is in serious need of “redistribution”. ...just to be fair.

According to:

http://www.law.unc.edu/documents/career/employmentdata/abareport2013.pdf

23 of 248 law school grads of the class of 2013 (9%) were unemployed but seeking work. I can’t find average student debt, but I’d imagine it’s around $100,000. All that for the 31st ranked law school.

There is a professor at George Mason University who taught a course called “Trayvon Martin.”

What sort of job does taking this course lead to... community organizing?

UNC law professor’s holdings include $1.5M in real estate, and meanwhile he chastises Republicans for their ‘unforgivable war on poor people’

Maybe Professor Gene Nichol's butler can get together with Michale Moore's butler and figure out a way to keep the 'hoodwink' going.... Wearing baseball caps backwards works for Hollywood's multi-billionaire elite phonies.

If you are paying some guy $100k a year, and he’s only teaching one single class in that year...there is something wrong with the system.

A state legislature ought to step in and mandate what you can pay for one-class dude....and it shouldn’t be more than $25,000 for anyone that teaches a sole class by itself.

Probably time to post Thomas Sowell's poem for those who haven't yet seen it: Absolutely spot on for this article.

THE POVERTY PIMPS’ POEM

Let us celebrate the poor,
Let us hawk them door to door.
There’s a market for their pain,
Votes and glory and money to gain.

Let us celebrate the poor.

Their ills, their sins, their faulty diction
Flavor our songs and spice our fiction.
Their hopes and struggles and agonies
Get us grants and consulting fees.

Celebrate thugs and clowns,
Give their ignorance all renown.
Celebrate what holds them down,
In our academic gowns.

Let us celebrate the poor.

” “I’m a full time faculty member – doing all the varied things faculty members do,” he stated.”

Yeah, except his primary function - teaching. I wonder how much actual “teaching” is done by his assistant(s)?
