Saying he's grown frustrated with waiting for congressional Republicans, an angry President Barack Obama said Monday he will bypass Congress and act on his own to make changes to immigration policy by the end of the summer. Obama spoke Monday from the Rose Garden, where he slammed House Republicans for being too accommodating to the conservative, anti-immigration wing of their party and chided House leadership for not working to pass a "darn bill."
"They're unwilling to stand up to the Tea Party and do what's right for the country. And what's worse — a bunch of them know better," Obama said in the Rose Garden, where he was joined by Vice President Joe Biden.
A White House official said earlier Monday that Obama's new moves came after House Speaker John Boehner told him last week the House will not vote on immigration-related legislation this year. Obama said Boehner informed him Republicans will not vote "at least for the remainder of this year." The president has faced pressure from immigration advocates to stem the tide of deportations in lieu of waiting for congressional legislation.
Obama said he will direct Homeland Security Department Secretary Jeh Johnson and Attorney General Eric Holder to present him with executive actions he can take without congressional approval by the end of the summer. He said he will implement them "without further delay." It's unclear what specific actions the administration might look to take, but Johnson suggested in an interview with PBS last month he would look at changing a controversial deportation policy that has faced criticism from all sides.

This is just a diversion from an administration in total collapse. If he wanted immigration reform, he would have ramrodded it through, in his first term, like he did Obamacare. This is an election ploy to stir up the Hispanic vote.
In short, Zer0 announced that if Congress does not give everything he wants, he will do it anyway.

Funding and money are House of Representatives responsibilities however the Senate has final vote on financial issues giving Obama money he should not get, period.
I'm wondering what the remedy is if Obama defies a few Surpreme Court decisions. Are impeachment and defunding Obama and his illegal programs their only options?
0bama is not at risk of impeachment, for a myriad of reasons which include Republican cowardice.
Therefore, 0bama can do anything he wants. And he will, even if it costs his party elections.

You don’t just close abortion clinics down. You do exactly what Obama is doing with immigration: find ways to exploit EOs to full advantage to achieve the desired result.
In the case of abortion cinics what you do is direct HHS to start treating them like surgical facilities. You aren’t really shutting them down, right? Youre just insuring that they operate in a safe and sanitary manner.
Too bad they all have to close down because none of them can actually meet the expanded standards, right?
He has been bypassing Congress and the will of the people on immigration for 6 years. This announcement that he will continue his lawless refusal to enforce the law makes him guilty of malfeasance. Obama is an enemy of the republic and must be treated as such.
