RICK PERRY: TERRORISTS, GANGSTERS LOOKING TO EXPLOIT BORDER CRISIS
Breitbart ^ | July 3, 2014 | By Tony Lee

Posted on 07/03/2014 5:06:17 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Republican Texas Governor Rick Perry warned members of Congress Thursday that transnational gangsters and terrorists are looking to exploit the border crisis, which he said endangers the nation's security.

At a House Homeland Security Field Hearing at South Texas College in McAllen, Texas, Perry said gangsters and terrorists can easily take advantage of the crisis at the border that has "strained the Border Patrol," which Perry said already has "insufficient" resources. He said because the Border Patrol now has to focus on the overflow of illegal immigrant children instead of on their "primary task," the border is "less secure than at any time in the recent past."

Perry said that "transnational gangs are seeking to take advantage of this situation," and the border is so porous that people from nations that have ties to terrorism can also sneak in as well.

The Texas governor also said that allowing the illegal immigrant children from Central America to remain in the United States is "not a more humane option" because it will "only encourage the next group of individuals to undertake this very dangerous" and often deadly journey.

"What's the next group of people?" Perry asked, saying that if the United States allows illegal immigrants from Central America to remain the country, then other nations with even more dangerous people may want to encourage their citizens to come to America en masse as well.

He said this "humanitarian crisis" will turn into a "monumental tragedy" unless the Obama administration sends a clear message that those who enter the nation illegally will be sent back.

"Secure this border, Mr. President," Perry said, calling on Obama to "finally address this issue" and "invest sufficient resources."

“I think every one of those kids could be flown to their home in one day if it was coordinated.”

Your position is a little confusing to me. You’re good with it, if their deportation is done efficiently?

We survived Jefferson’s purchase of the Louisiana territory.
And Lincoln’s suspension of habeus corpus and declaring martial law during the Civil War/’War of Northern Aggression’.
And we survived interning Japanese during WWII.
And a few hundred other things.
Extreme exigency sometimes dictates policy, as pointed out by Jefferson, above.

I agree with you that they should be rounded up and shipped home immediately, as quickly as they arrived—ASAP. We’re getting a lot of double-talk (as usual) from the Obamanites.

But what about your Constitutional objections? The Equal Protection Clause requires each state to provide equal protection under the law to all people within its jurisdiction.
And through the 14th, the Fifth amendment guarantees the right to procedural and substantive due process.
I suspect the administration had all these kids advised to claim they were bring threatened by gangs and such, even it wasn’t true, so they could claim political asylum. I consider it just as likely that their country was happy to see them go, for whatever reasons, like the Marielitos.

But now you’re OK with packing them all off, as long as the UN is good with it and all the Constitutional `i’s are dotted and `t’s crossed?
Why are you agonizing over this? As usual, Obama has his tail stuck in crack. So now he’s trying to make lemon-aid out of this lemon that he squeezed through national gerrymandering and back-door amnesty.
No way Jose.

I just “emailed” Gov. Perry through his website. I’ll probably be ignored.

AS a postscript, I have as much trouble with giving tens of thousands of flagrant lawbreakers full trials or administrative hearings as I do with the concept of `birthright citizenship.’
Run them through by a magistrate, sure, and if the note prepared for them, pinned to their nap-sack: `MS-13 was mean to me’ is an obvious ploy to circumvent our immigration laws, then pack them into cargo planes and return them to their countries of origin.
Myself, I would put them on 2 1/2 ton trucks, then perp-march them to the Mexican border, urge them back across, at gunpoint if necessary, then carpet-bomb the Mexican RR tracks that brought them up here.
But that’s just me. IMO Mexico’s attitude towards us, demonstrated through narco-terrorism and invasion, has been as a belligerent for far too long.

The government is not going to fix this. At least not until we elect a new government. And I don’t think then. The states are going to have to do this themselves.

Sir I respectfully suggest the federal government is lawless. Further at present the federal government intends to destroy our republic and our constitution. The federal government is seditious if not outright treasonous. An example, the SCOTUS says the states cannot enforce federal immigration law. The federal government refuses to enforce immigration laws. Thereby ensuring the invasion. It is way past time to tell the federal government no and mean it.

The states are going to have to protect their citizens.

Obama has orchestrated this illegal invasion on purpose.

Time for Perry, to show he’s a patriot to this country/his state first.

Perry talks a good game but I heard on the news today that Dallas is stepping up and volunteering to house a bunch of these illegals. Don’t ya think good old Gov. Perry would know about that?

Basically the feds are creating an incarceration zone against the local police... Pretty much jailing Arpaio in his own jurisdiction. this is very grave.

Yep... Much blabla, no substance.

they perfectly know the local cop and border jurisdicition is surrendered to narco traffickers and illegals and local cops incarcerated. this is an act of war against the State by a rogue federal... But pu$$ies be pu$$ies.

This is not progressism but total surrender to savagery and rogue groups running the border now.

The whole thing is precisely timed... To a foreign attack, that is... Not only the deed, but the timing is given by orders from abroad.

Can Perry actually call out the guard without Federal support of that?

I don't think we need to give them trials either. Do the police give trials before they lost children to their homes, no they just do the right thing and return them.

I agree that the government trashes our Constitution, I just don't think we as a people should join them. We are smart enough to figure out a way to do this within the law, and yes, we should quickly do it and then worry about what SCOTUS would say about this new method later, but I really think throwing the law out the window gives us nothing to fight because we are just like them.

What I am saying is we are not “Deporting” them, we don’t have that right as a state, but we have a right to return lost children who have been abused to their home and the safety of their own people. THINK!!!!

TERRORISTS, GANGSTERS LOOKING TO EXPLOIT BORDER CRISIS

Yea, we know but Washington DC has been doing this for years, unabated, with impunity.

Oh my bad!
is Perry talking of the Drug Cartels?

Thought he was addressing a joint session of Congress and the White(shack)house
