I understand the Mosque demolitions, if they are Shi’ite or non-conforming Sunni mosques, but the mausoleum of Jonah I would think transcends sectarianism. It’s just a prophet’s grave.

Not trying to rationalize the actions of madmen, but I am interested in their justification.

You would think the ka'ba would be too. At this point I think it's just a bunch of kill-crazy Sunni fanatics out to butcher anyone who deviates in the slightest way from their theocratic beliefs.
