Another day, another VA tragedy. An Albany nurse claims dying New York Veterans were denied painkillers. Instead they were given salt water mixtures. Valerie Riviello, a nurse at the Albany Stratton VA medical center, claims that fellow employees had reported to her that dying veterans were denied painkillers such as morphine to ease their pain. Instead, they were given salt water mixtures.
Riviello told the Times Union:
Among stories that nurse Valerie Riviello has heard from other employees at the Albany VA is one about dying patients who were supposed to receive morphine to alleviate pain, but instead got a salt-and-water mixture. A nurse treating hospice patients stole the vials of morphine, according to Riviello. She said managers delayed reporting the problem.

Zhit like this has been going on for years.
Eight years ago my WWII vet father was under Hospice care. We were trying to get a pain med from the VA but the VA doc was stonewalling.
Took the intervention of my Congresscritter to get the meds sent—they arrived the day before his Funeral.
Remember: VA healthcare is single payer.

Silly New York Vets, expecting medical care while hardworking NY/NJ UNION / DEM / GOVERNMENT SYSTEM employees go without 350% overtime and 200K annual retirement pensions, not to mention Obamaphones! No wonder they have to siphon off some opiates to make ends meet.

This isn’t Odinga’s fault, the nurse was a junkie.
I thought they tested nurses (not Doctors though).
The VA paid a few thousand in beni’s to Dad because of his Korean War service. A couple of years ago they took it back. Dad spent 13 months in Korea, but the armistice was signed when he was half way across the Pacific. Some as swipe in congress changed his qualifications so he was no longer eligible for the money he received. His check dropped to $200 per month till the amount was paid back.
Now they have stopped his health benefits due to lengthy travel for checkup to get his meds.
Screw these damn democrats. VA is Obamacare! Get ready you gullible idiots, and my sympathy for those who voted against it.
First thing I thought, too...that happens a lot.
The only people who want government health care are those who have never had it.
