By noon today the Chicago City Council will pass a new “toughest in the nation” gun control law and pose for the photo op after a long lunch.
How true. All a law does is give permission for the cops to arrest a person. It does not stop a person from doing what they do.
Want a gun in Chicago? flash some cash in the right areas and a gun will appear to be sold to you.
All a tougher law can do is give the cops more permission to arrest you if you do buy one. It cannot stop you from buying one.
Laws only work if YOU fear the cops using the law to arrest you. Otherwise the law is dead. Chicago is overwhelmed. The cops cannot keep up.
