Are we (Texas) to pay for it all?

It is YOUR nation! Git on down here or at least pony up.

Sorry but that is a pet peeve of mine.
TX is not responsible for the border, We bust ou buts here to secure it, 49 other states take walk.

Washington is the problem.

“Sen. Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa, D-McAllen”

Idiot of the highest magnitude...

On a side note, if anything the expenditure of “Texas” money is finite...12 million a month sounds conservative...

It will not be sustainable...From a fiduciary perspective...I would like to know where the money is coming from, yet we know not a damn dime will come from the Feds to help this situation...

If anything the Feds will spend money to do whatever it can to torpedo this effort, and it will go away as soon as the money dries up...

But of course Joe Strauss laid out some of the details before, just so the folks (democrats) can have a chance to step up and voice their disapproval (of the border surge) that will directly effect their desire to bloat their voting block for this November...

Well, that’s 1000 personnel to hand out water and blankets in the processing shelters when and if the invaders are actually caught...

I seriously doubt they will be handed rifles, much less the ammunition to effectively give pause to the influx of these people desiring to break our laws...

Yawn...Nap time.../sarc

I believe most TX NG units are infantry. It would be nice if we had a little more firepower to send down there. They need a bunch of fast Zodiac boats, quadrunners, drones and other air assets to turn keep people from crossing the river or to return them immediately to the other side if they do manage to make it across.

I do not know that we can effectively send troops to the border due to posse comitatis.
I am not a lawyer, never went to law school or even learned latin in the Catholic church.

But the law is the law.

Near as I can tell, we need to overturn some amendments and laws.

That shit aint easy.

We wont fix this gig with guns

I have wondered why Perry can’t contract with other states, who are especially impacted by forced housing of these illegals, to help Texas pay towards the 5 million per week to send the reportedly, “unarmed” National Guard to the Texas border?

I'm here, in Dallas. If Perry called for volunteers there would be 1-Million
men at that border in 24 Hours. The Militia is not just in Tx btw, and there is a silent
majority of ex Marines, Army, and Navy ready for the call.

The total economic costs from this increased surge of illegal crossings through our borders far exceeds the costs of defending our borders. If the borders were somehow sealed shut tomorrow, the financial impact from those who have illegally entered our country during this recent surge, will still be felt for years.

That is another reason why we have immigration laws already in place allowing people to immigrate at a much slower rate.

Last time they were deployed if was demanded that they be UNARMED due to posse commitatus, so they basically became desk secretary’s.

They hated it. I hated it. You Hated it, but there it is

The Obama’s should get the bill personally for the cost of enforcing the border, after he is impeached and arrested for treason.

Hard to defend against a 50 BMG without being in the military.

Would a Paladin be of use?
