Oh those unfortunate rich liberal Upper East Siders!

First Diblasio wouldn’t clear their snow, and now this. Time for a long sojurn to the country or beach house.

Magical thinking.

They think they can stop anything, and refuse to see that this is burning out of control.

Dear God. Have mercy on us.

And in the area Obama visited most for fundraisers while he was running for 1st and 2nd terms, sometimes 2 -3 weeks.

The only thing that is bringing me slight comfort is that fact that this has been raging in Africa for the past 4-5 months. If this virus is as contagious to our worst fears...by now, we would have seen deaths in the hundreds of thousands to millions in Africa. The high population density, the unsanitary conditions, fear, mis-handling, etc would have this thing going nuts.

This does not seem to be the case. The health care workers, family members and those in direct contact with victims seem to be the most affected.

Not the expert...but the horror movie impact, would only occur if for some reason, the virus has suddenly, and more recently turned more virulent...

Yep...however seeing the doctor who treated Patrick Sawyer is dead now...

Personally there is something much more virulent now with this 2014 strain.

Anyway i would buy stock in latex gloves..!

A male patient with high fever and gastrointestinal symptoms came to the hospital's emergency room on Monday morning.

Big surprise.....not. Next we'll hear this guy's been traveling around on east coast subways, was hacking and gaging at the local McWhoppers, and on and on....

What scary about it, is that after 4-5 months it’s still not contained. It’s still spreading. Add to that the WHO stance that they can’t (will not) stop people who don’t exhibit symptoms from traveling.

Ghana is the only country to ban flights from affected countries.

So you have to wonder, if the WHO is taking appropriate level response to contain the threat. Because it sure doesn’t look like it.

If this is Ebola, the worrisome part is he came in off the streets.

Exactly, so far people have been freaking out because we got the perfect Ebola patient, an American doctor who was head of his Ebola clinic in Africa, flown in a specially equipped plane to our top Ebola center as our first patient, and were panicking as that was seen by them as the act that was going to introduce Ebola into our perfectly sealed and pristine nation, or by keeping him out, we would remain pure and Ebola free.
