In the hospitals, we see the consequences. While the poor and the illegal immigrants get absolutely free care, the middle-class patients are collapsing financially under the strain of their deductibles and their lost income from their time off work, not to mention the additional stress of their illness. In our clinics, sick patients are choosing to forego testing, medicines, and surgery that they need solely because of cost. Instead they are living with their illnesses, often with cheap antibiotics as a means of delaying the inevitable.
To make matters worse, the patients getting their health care for free will ask for taxi vouchers, food stipends, and the like right in front of these other people, never thinking that what they are requesting is an affront to the sensibilities of the people paying their bills with our tax dollars. Seeing the middle class visibly suffer like this when the president told them during the elections that they would see their costs go down $2,500 per family is a heinous outcome of a preposterous government overreach.

and these people...they think we're they're maids....color tv with cable...private rooms with showers...free food delivered to your room, and you just have to push a button to have some one fetch your ice water or move your pillows for you.......
yep....elections have consequences, freepers...
Back in 2011 I had elective surgery.
A procedure that one had to wait up to six weeks to schedule 5 years earlier.
When I called to schedule, the schedule was wide open. 5 surgeons and a wide open schedule.
the blackmarket and crime in general will increase, especially among the working and middle class, just to survive..
I’m so glad you recognized that as sarcasm. There are so many around here who need a neon “sarcasm” sign.
I'm trying to get my weight better....I'm avoiding a lot of over the counters meds that are horrible on your liver and kidneys...I'm trying to kick the soda habit...
mostly, the human body was made to fight off most infections and viruses on its own....we don't need to run to the doctor for sniffles, head colds, back aches, etc...time does heal all for the most part...

I had my knee joint replaced last week and I had to pay a $943.00 deductible for the surgery my insurance doesn’t cover.
now is the time to remind anyone who has served in the military that you do have some benefits thru the VA, and even if they just help with your medicines its worth it....getting on VA though can be tricky..
If you could point me to cheap catastrophic insureance, I would appreciate it. I am retired but not yet Medicare eligible.
We have essentially the policy you describe and it costs us $1200 a month. Not cheap in my book.
Obama and his thugs hate the middle class.
Might be cynicism on the Docs part too. I’ve been told that morale in the medical professions has pretty much cratered.
I just can’t see the argument that if you truly hate Obamacare then you haven’t experienced having your healthcare options dictated by the same people who run the Post Office not resonating.
I am glad to see that, with the final run in to the midterms almost underway, more focus is being placed on Obamacare’s problems. Stuff like this will seep out, especially if candidates and PACs start talking about it in advertising.
Good for you. My husband and I are 54. We eat healthy, take supplements and keep our weight down. True, it costs but we figure it is cheaper than being sick.
We’ve done this for years. Until now. Our “catastrophic insurance” with a $12,000 deductible is going UP $300 a month for 3 people. Now even this option is unaffordable at $1000+/month.
I wasn't taking any chances, so I helped her in the car and took her to the nearest ER. She sat their waiting in pain for us to be called. First, Dad had to produce the health insurance card. Then he had to come up with a $100 co-payment. Then finally some more waiting until they consented to see her.
Meanwhile, the illegals just waltzed in with cold and sniffles type symptoms, pointed to the sign that they needed "Spanish" and got ushered right in without insurance, co-pays or waiting.
We need to find a veterinarian for said purpose now. We do have a chiropractor who will treat the spinal related ailments for discounted cash on the barrel-head.
The middle class should not only be denied healthcare, they shouldn’t exist -
this is the goal.
Assuming that someone would even clamor for single payer when government control of healthcare as it is now in Obamacare is such a dismal failure, what kills me is how people would think that single payer would improve the ability to get care. It will take even longer, the quality will be inferior, or worst of all they won’t get it at all.
The Kulaks are to blame!
What stops Indian or Thai doctors from botching the job?
Where's the accountability?
Can you sue them for malpractice? What?
