The problem is the Democratic Party shifted left to the Progressive/Socialist side. Now they crave power and not to help the working man. Why else would they undercut union jobs by bringing in illegal cleap labor?
I used to utter those two sentences with pride and would shout them from the highest rooftops. Now, Im ALMOST embarrassed to say those words.
ALMOST??? Try harder Dhimmi.
Interesting, my grandfather followed that path too except it was WW1. His comment about the dems were they were like commies and fascists whom he despised and left Italy to get away from.
Piscopo is an idiot. Always has been. And he’s not funny.
“Why else would they undercut union jobs by bringing in illegal cleap labor?”
Simple answer for that is...there are no(few members) labor unions left that do physical labor. They are government employee unions.
What does a flood of illegals do? Greatly expand the need for more government is what!
The first step to limited government is crushing the unions. They need to be stomped into the ground a swept into the dust bin of history.
Sounds to me as though he finds his arguments sound but will be casting his votes for Democrats, yet again, this fall.
“The first step to limited government is crushing the unions. They need to be stomped into the ground a swept into the dust bin of history.”
100% Agree!
“...and still passed with more REPUBLICAN votes.”
A greater percentage of Republicans voted for it is more accurate. There weren’t nearly as many in elected office back then.
A died in the wool Marxist is now disappointed Marxism doesn’t work. None of his explanation holds water and continues to bash Republicans with lies.
Pray America wakes up
The up side to his commentary is that he WAS a big Hillary supporter in the 2008. He is now starting to see life without the blinders and in such will now be their worst ideological enemy as his new-found enlightenment to reality moves forward. I would submit it was Hillary’s book tour debacle that set it off along with the feckless Obama charades.
Just like those of us who no longer support the GOPe ideologues, it took having one too many crap sandwiches forced upon us to take our blinders off as well.
Al Capp supposedly said, “I dodn’t leave the Democrat Party, it left me.”
Jimmy Carter created more Republicans than any RNC chairman in history, let’s hope O’bastard can break his record in that too.
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ho! Ho! Always with the jokes, Joe!
I would go back and say the underhanded way that Nixon lost the 1960 race....probably set the dynamics in place for a dozen events which have reshaped American society in a negative way.
Disillusioned? To be factual....Republican leaders are no longer Republican....they support lobbyists and special interest groups. The same is virtually true for Democrats. All of this....from some dopey decisions made since 1960.
Seems like Piscopo needs a shovel upside his head to wake up.
“Interesting, my grandfather followed that path too except it was WW1. His comment about the dems were they were like commies and fascists whom he despised and left Italy to get away from.”
That is my grandfather’s story, also.
>>> ..... a disillusioned Democrat
But I don’t see this author wake up to the conservative principles, which is guided by the principles from the Constitution.
