NBC News reports

U.S. Army Major General Harold Greene was buried today at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors, including a caisson, two escort platoons, casket team, firing party, colors team, and a caparisoned horse. The U.S. Army band, “Pershing’s Own,” played softly as the funeral procession made its way down the long hill past the rows of simple white gravestones to bring General Greene to his final resting place.

The graveside service began with a few words, followed by a 13-gun salute. The major general’s widow, Dr. Susan Myers, was seated in the front row. To her right was their son 1st Lt. Matthew Greene, his daughter Amelia Greene, followed by Major General Greene’s father, also Harold Greene.

After three rifle volleys and the playing of “Taps,” the American flag, once placed on the major general’s casket, was carefully folded as the band played “America the Beautiful.” U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno presented the flag to his widow, and additional flags to his children and father.

General Greene, 55, became the highest-ranking fatality in the war in Afghanistan after an Afghan military police officer opened fire on Aug. 5th, 2014.

If he attended it would have turned into another phony photo op and him lying to the widow.

Maybe the family didn’t want him there. I wouldn’t want him there, his policies actually make him responsible for the murder of the general, he facilitated it. If I was a medal if honor winner today, I’d ask them to send it FedEx.

Haven't been into town yet today, are the flags at half mast? Oh, sorry. The general wasn't a black druggie pop singer.

“Thank God that funeral wasn’t sullied by that narcissistic POS.”

My thoughts exactly. He would’ve turned it into a political speech for global warming and the 2016 elections.

While it’s also a slap in the face of the general’s family...they may’ve been happy the Narcissist-In-Chief didn’t cancel his tee-time.

Don’t kid yourself! Every POTUS, before leaving office, is to leave a plan for his funeral, where he wants to be buried, etc.

This guy will want what Reagan had: a cortege up Constitution Avenue, lying in state under the Capitol Dome, procession to Andrews, flight to HI? or IL? or ???

Masses of locals will come out to attend, and busloads from across the country, for the opportunity to stand in line to view the bier with his coffin, just as they did for his first Inauguration. He is, after all, the “first black president” if you exclude Bill Clinton.

Maj. Gen. Harold Greene’s death in an apparent insider attack made him the first U.S. general killed in Iraq or Afghanistan.
But as his body was brought back to the U.S. Thursday in a silent procession, one person was criticized for not speaking — President Obama. (Video via NBC)
Obama’s speech at the U.S.-Africa Business Forum on the same day as Greene’s death was full of laughter and made no mention of the tragedy. (Video via The White House)
A day after discovering more facts related to Greene’s murder, the president stuck to the scheduled topic — still U.S.-Africa relations — at a press conference Wednesday. (Video via The White House)
His silence drew tremendous criticism, especially from conservative bloggers who say it is not only his role as leader of the nation to address tragedies, but also his role as commander in chief to acknowledge the sacrifice of his soldiers.
But he broke his silence Thursday in a speech before signing into law a bill on veterans’ health care.
OBAMA VIA THE WHITE HOUSE: “Our prayers are with the Greene family, as they are with all the gold-star families and those who have sacrificed so much for our nation.”
Prior to that statement, CNN’s Jake Tapper cited an anonymous national security source who said the administration does not wish to single out Gen. Greene’s death because of his high rank. Tapper paraphrased the source’s message, writing, “Every loss of life is equally tragic.”
The Washington Post looked into it as well and reports the same finding: that the administration doesn’t want to appear to value one American life over another.
If true, it’s unclear what changed — if anything — prior to Obama’s mention of Greene Thursday.
There have been 39 American combat deaths in 2014, and some might point out the media has not called on Obama to address all of them.

I’ve got a question for you and any other freeper. Do you, or any other freeper REALLY believe polls that indicate 40 odd percent of Americans still support this criminal?! As Judge Jeanine would say.........”REALLY !!!”

I believe 25%, or thereabouts, of the population would support a democrat president if he were a documented child molester. So, they don’t really count. This means then that if he has 43 % support, and I doubt it, that he really only has 18% support once you subtract out the child molesters opinion.

One poll indicated 32% for illustration. Subtract out the CM’s and Obama’s true support would then be 7%.

Is he headed for 0% after subtracting CM’s?!?!

_______________________________________________________
While I find it unbelievable, one has to realize that he is going to have very strong support from an ever increasing black population, and illegal immigrants...no matter how bad he gets. Add to that, the overall intelligence of the American public has to be dropping, as well as subverted by a Marxit educational system and a Marxist media. The Communist know that those are the golden keys to taking a nation.

Rasmussen was touted as being the most accurate pollster, but I have heard that he is also a Democrat.
Today he has 46 approve/52 disapprove. 21 strongly approve/42 strongly disapprove. This gives Obozo an index of -21.

We must ask God to save America, but I am afraid that he is not listening.

I’m flabbergasted. I’m ready to stand up to this crud by the scumbag Marxists who foist it upon our children.
Where are the leaders in this. We need to fight this and not necessarily in court. The constitutionalists like Ted Cruz and those of his ken need to take the lead and we need to back them.

I think I’ll go watch “The Patriot” again.
