PLEASE tell all of your female relatives and friends (especially the older ones) to never hold on to a purse during a robbery. Let it go! No purse is worth broken bones, or worse.
I know, it is a reflex to hold on. That's why females need to think about this ahead of time. Let the purse go.
Certainly other folks here will be talking about self-defense, etc. That's all fine. Regardless, let the purse go.
And as a side note, this is a good reason for ladies with a concealed permit to think twice about keeping a gun in a purse. Just don't ask me what the alternative is. I'm not that clever.
I always accompany my wife to the grocery store, and I am always armed.

There comes a point where you realize “it’s just stuff,” but it’s my damned stuff.
Here's one great alternative...

Flashbang bra holster demo. Fast, safe and practical.
The action looks more natural, fluid, and smoother than pulling the pistol off your hip holster. I can't imagine many women wanting to carry their "front arm" there, though.
Well, a holster is generally what is recommended for guns.
As a guy I don’t know why ladies need purses that could hold Moby Dick. The smaller and more compact, the more difficult to snatch.
boob holster
it exists
Even better, don't carry a purse. Women should choose clothing with large enough pockets that are difficult to grab into to hold their money. A prepaid credit card with just a little money, a health insurance porvider card and an expired drivers license are all one needs for ID. Another trick....wear cheap jewelry instead of no jewelry. On sidewalks, walk closer to the road instead of in the shadows of the building.
Is that paranoid? Not at all. It doesn't make me feel 100% safe, but I have the confidence of while being in my late 60s not looking like an easy victim carrying things worth stealing.
In a sketchy situation, my hand is on the gun inside the purse, not holding the purse. No one is the wiser but if someone grabs the purse, guess what I will be left holding......
