RICK PERRY Declines to Fund Crazy Violent Drunk – Dems Indict Him For It
Gateway Pundit ^ | 8/16/2014 | Jim Hoft

Governor Rick Perry refused to fund Lehmberg’s office.

So on Friday Democrats decided to make a stand for drunk drivers everywhere and indict Governor Rick Perry.

On Saturday Governor Rick Perry held a press conference. Rick stands by his decision.

Here’s what the governor had to say about the indictment.

“Here’s what I think is really important for the people to understand, not just Texans but this country. And, that is, we have seen an office in the form of the Travis County District Attorney’s office. The lead, legal individual for criminal affairs in this county and overseeing public officials who conducted themselves in an incredibly inappropriate way. Stopped for a DWI with a blood-alcohol level almost three times the legal limit. An individual who when booked in had to be restrained. Was abusive to law enforcement. Was kicking the door. I think Americans and Texans who have seen this agree with me. That that is not an individual who is heading up an office that we can afford to fund. Now the people of Travis County may decide that that is the type of individual that they want in that office. But as the governor of the State of Texas… I made that decision and I said ‘no.’ And given that information and given that choice again, that is exactly what I would do.“

Go, Rick Perry!

I have a neighbor who looks like her too. A lesbian. Scary, but in general a neighborly person. I understand she used to be an alcoholic but is now “in recovery.”

Slowly but surely, my heart is turning from relying on man to oversee a society that is peaceful, free and happy. These things, as America itself, come from the Lord, not man.

Soon the Lord Himself will come to rule and establish those very things and NO MAN will withstand his righteous and good rule. What a day that will be. (At anytime it could be seven years away after the Lord first comes and gets us and then the false world ruler quickly rises and falls.)

This righteous and peaceful rule will come sooner than we think. But to benefit from the good and avoid the soon coming perdition, one must receive Jesus Christ. Now is a really good time to do so.

Liberal? Uh no. One can criticize him on certain issues like anyone else but to call him a liberal is ridiculous.

Certain issues? He has a long history of being liberal on issues. That makes him a liberal.

Liberal Rick Perry praised Hillary by saying she was a “great Secretary of State”. A real conservative would never have done that.

Nor would a conservative have worked to keep Ted Cruz from going to Washington.

Nor would a conservative have opposed a border fence.

Nor would a conservative try to impose a nanny-state executive order to force females to have injections of unwanted, unnecessary and unproven vaccination.

A real conservative would not have endorsed the man who has waged war on the TEA Party, RINO Mitch McConnell, for reelection.

A conservative would not give taxpayer-subsidized financial aid and instate tuition to ILLEGAL aliens.

A conservative would not characterize as heartless the conservative voting base who opposed such handouts for ILLEGAL aliens.

Perry is no conservative and his record proves it. But you’re free to defend his liberal past if you so choose.

Yes, me too, I think it’s coming very soon, but in the relative time of things, I think maybe in a few decades. It could happen anytime, but that’s my feeling about things.

Perry is a solid conservative on most issues although no politician will please everyone on all issues. Nice try though.

Right.

A man has a good job that he works at every day. He makes a decent wage enabling him to provide a house and for all of his family’s needs. But every Friday night he beats his wife. You would call him a good provider, I would call him a wife beater.

Perry is a liberal.

I agree it is a fairly weak gesture, but that is due to legality’s.

******************

Weak in some respects maybe. But if in fact many of the NG will be doing jobs that
relieve the Border Patrol etc to do their job then it’s a reasonable swap.

Perry is a God fearing Christian conservative who knows how to govern. He makes things work. To do that, you have to be pragmatic. He loathes liberals. You could hear the loathing of this liberal drunk again in his remarks today. If he’s the nominee, he’ll have my vote. He’s the only one running who has military service as well as executive experience.

Personally I think America should be kissing our butts.
Texans are doing something and Texans are paying for it.

“If anyone is curious:

Texas Local Government Code
TITLE 3. Organization of County Government
SUBTITLE B. Commissioners Court and County Officers
CHAPTER 87. Removal of County Officers From Office; Filling of Vacancies
Section 87.013: General grounds for removal
(a)An officer may be removed for:
(3) intoxication on or off duty caused by drinking an alcoholic beverage.”

Who is the woman’s boss? Why hasn’t she been removed?

From what I understand, a judge by the name of Peeples took it upon himself to make the determination instead of allowing for a jury trial like he should have. HE is the one who decided she could stay in office.

She’s somethin’ else, isn’t she?

She most certainly is! I bet she's a whole bunch of fun to work for, too.

In fact, I'll bet more than a few on both sides of the local political aisle are ready for her to go away, but didn't have a way to make that happen.

So, I wonder if a bit of Texas backscratching was applied to git 'er done?

Gov. Perry makes her go away by first cutting her funding, which riles up the appropriate people, who then indict him for it.

Which gets him and the case a LOT of attention in the court of public opinion by all that comes out during this wonderful indictment.

For his effort, he gets a big boost in the polls and she goes away. Everybody wins!

What fun! I'm very impressed by how Texas politics works.
