How do looters really view themselves?

Posted on 08/18/2014 7:51:52 AM PDT by MNDude

Time and time again, we seem to be presented with a complete disconnect with how violent black youths present themselves and what is real.

Trayvon Martin, we presented as a young moral boy who was afraid for his life while Michael Brown as a gentle giant--both with bright college futures ahead of them.

Regardless of what positive virtues they may have had, it's pretty clear that neither strived to be gentle or striving for educational excellence. It seems that both fully embraced the black violent gang culture and this culture embraced them back. If either of these two were anything like the images presented of them, I'm pretty sure they would be greatly rejected by their peers. It seems to be important for young black men to present the image of being as tough, anti-law, and as violent as possible. Yet, whenever there is a potential white vs. black incident, they wish everyone to believe the exact opposite. In fact, they are extremely offended if you do not believe that Trayvon was a weak and frightened child. They are angry if you do not believe Michael Brown was not a scholarly saint. They are filled with so much passion that at that moment, they themselves believe these presentations to be true!

So my question is how do the violent inner city youths really view themselves?

Do they simultaneously view themselves as violent tough gangstas and gentle doves?

How do they really want the rest of society to view them?

As kind and harmless citizens or a dangerous force to be reckoned with?

If it's so important to be viewed the way they present Trayvon and Michael, then why do they go out of their way to protest with violence?

Your thoughts?

Hmmm. Seems like I have seen those three verbs to describe the goals of someone else.

I don’t believe that the behavior of the rioters are simply an expression of “Ghetto” culture or “Thug Life” or in fact an expression of any culture. My take on it is that a riot is simply an anomie, a vacuum of any culture, or the total absence of any norms. Like a plasma, the type of anomie I describe is unstable, and can only occur in limited areas for short periods of time.

Civil rights are for civilized people.

Implicit : who recognize the essential corresponding obligations.
One can't exist without the other.

..liberating a box of Fine Cigars. Because, isn’t a man entitled to have a fine cigar once in a while?

I really don’t think shooting this idiot six times was a great idea, but I’m really undecided about whether or not this was a terrible loss to society. The entire event is a vignette of just about everything that is wrong with 21st Century America.

Yep, those apply to the “guy” the leftist agitators work for.

After the 1:00 AM 08/14/14 news conference I distinctly remember the CNN correspondent commenting on what a embarrassment the rioting was.

CNN?

Yes, I saw that, I was up very late last night.

A few sparks of light in an otherwise very dark place.

"Do they simultaneously view themselves as violent tough gangstas and gentle doves? How do they really want the rest of society to view them?"

They rightly view themselves as "not even a part of society". And the blame for that is a welfare state that pays them for existing..not for working, not for doing something with their lives. And they hate society for that....and I don't blame them for that.... (Which does not mean I wouldn't send out the troops to shoot the looters... I would have done that the first night.)

Was the correspondent complaining about how weak the rioting was or about the very fact that they were rioting in the first place?

I’m under the impression that the mainstream press wants riots, so I find the latter hard to believe.

The correspondent said the looting, shooting and tossing of Molotov Cocktails was an embarrassment to the people of Ferguson. I got the imprison that he was of the same mind as the Highway Patrol Captain and that the trouble was planned and came from people from out of town.

Not that it makes any difference but the correspondent was black.

I do not think these are people who are given to self-reflection.

Late last night, on CNN there was a short segment of a black woman, obviously not a gang banger, but in the midst of the ongoing mayhem, screaming hysterically... This is Un-ack-septible! we were demonstrating peacefully and we have to deal with tanks, swat teams and tear gas!

...all the while surrounded by burned out hulks of stores, flying Molotov cocktails, buildings and bullets zippin by all over the place...

Hysterically and emotionably repeating, This is Un-ack-septible!
This is Un-ack-septible!

I stared dumbfounded at the TV screen, wondering if I had been transported to that other place "...moving into a land of both shadows and substance, of things and ideas,... I'd just crossed over, into...
(Cue the appropriate music here.)

Let's just examine another perversion of the human mind.

"Reciprocity!"
"Disproportionate response!"

The deaths of a few cops, in addition to some deaths of the out of control thugs, would have made things, I suppose...

Ack-septible?

Instead, they have made racism their credo and brought back the 'n' word to many who have forgotten when it was common or never contemplated its use.

That reminds me of an incident from decades ago, that better time, when "PC" did not yet exist. An incident between a young oriental female exiting a laundry, where she had picked up her stuff.

A black bum (the gentle word homeless was not yet everywhere) followed her along the sidewalk, pestering her for money, finally ending with, "Stop ignoring me! stop treating me like a "n!"
Her calm retort ended the incident, when she turned to face him and said: Then stop acting like one!"

40 years ago, nobody thought the USSR could fall.
30 years ago, nobody thought the homosexual community would ever be socially acceptable.
20 years ago, a Muslim shift in power overthrowing all dictators, throughout the mideast was not considered feasible.
10 years ago, nobody thought transgender would arise except in insane asylums and the rule of law would still have some respect.
10-20 years from now, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Latino and Asian (other minorities) communities didn’t come in and place blacks back into slavery to control them.

A lot of liberation theology hinges upon an amillenial eschatology, with focus on man bringing about the Kingdom of God at the hands of the Church they believe has been assigned such authority. Too bad they refuse to accept simple faith alone in Christ alone. They would inherit so much more than what they are losing.

The sad part is that the African-American community has done everything to destroy the traditional family structure and reduce themselves to acting not much more than other mammals living in herds, as George Gilder in the 1980’s specifically wrote. Given what happened to Detroit, the South Side of Chicago and now Ferguson, MO, maybe Gilder’s assessment is sadly more accurate than people think.

Are you sure that picture isn't from Iraq or Gaza!

Ain't that the truth? I have about the same level of respect for those people as I do the filthy, murderous hajis.

Good idea! We could probably save a lot of tax dollars if Planned Parenthood was melded into DHS. One-stop shopping.
