The S-300 is a series of highly capable, long-range surface-to-air missile complexes first deployed in the USSR in 1979 and later modified by the Russian armed forces.
As well as targeting aircraft, the fully mobile units have the capacity to engage ballistic missiles.

If the S 300 is and has been active in Syria it certainly didn’t help them against Israeli airstrikes.
True but there are a few reports from last year that suggest they were shipped.
Even if ISIS has the missiles it’s likely they cut off the heads of anyone they captured who knew how to operate them.
Another good point but they have made a killing off of people and or presidents underestimating them...lol
Putin’s on a roll. He supplies missiles to Russian proxies who shoot down a civilian airplane over Ukraine, and he gives the dolt Assad missiles of no value to fight the insurgents.

I would imagine it would be formidable depending on the aggressor Zeroing in on your a$$.
I would not think it reliable against even a novice American, Israeli, British, French, or Russian Weasel pilot.

They might find someone who knows how the system works but it takes a TEAM effort to use this. Furthermore, the people who know how to use this are fairly high on the list of people to execute upon capture.
