Human rights group Amnesty International has taken unprecedented action to deal with unrest in Ferguson by sending a delegation that has never before been deployed inside the United States.
The organization has had members on the ground in Ferguson since Thursday, in the wake of the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown by a Ferguson police officer. According to a news release, the 12-person delegation is there to observe police and protester activity, gather testimony, seek meetings with officials and offer support to the community.
Organizers will also train local activists on methods of non-violent protest.
Law enforcement, from the FBI to state and local police, are obligated to respect and uphold the human rights of our communities, Amnesty International USAs executive director, Steven W. Hawkins, said. The U.S. cannot continue to allow those obligated and duty-bound to protect to become those who their community fears most.
Hawkins said they will remain in Missouri until they have a clear picture of what is taking place on the ground, and are able to work effectively with local activists on how to defend human rights at home.
On Wednesday, August 13, Hawkins wrote to the Ferguson Police Department to express concern over the shooting of Michael Brown, as well as the use of tear gas and rubber bullets during protests.
Lol.
"They" would soon come forth from the "Land of 10,000 Excuses" and give us 10,000 reasons NOT to live in Ferguson.
It's all for show and we know it: TOO much time on their hands and TOO little to do.
One would think they’d be more determined to go to...say...Iraq and confront ISIS. But, then again, Amnesty International was and always has been a sham operation, devoted first and foremost to Marxism and anti-capitalism, and could not care less what happened to innocents at the hands of ISIS.
They are wearing green ball caps and look silly.
OK. They WERE wearing green ball caps and looking silly. Yellow’s the color now.
The “useful idiots” have arrived.
do they get paid for this and if so thenwho pays for them to stand there and not do any proper work?
Send your delegation to Mosul and Erbil for the Christians and Yazidis, to Myanmar for the Rohingya, to Israel for the Jews, to Homs, Damascus, and Alleppo for the Muslims there, to Rawanda for the Tutsi, to Indonesia for the Christians, to Sudan for the Christians and that is just the start. That is just a partial list. Leave us the hell alone. You are not about truth, you are about whatever furthers your political, monetary, and self-serving objectives. STFU.
Hmmm. All WHITE girls in blazing yellow t-shirts.
Useful Idiots to the rescue!
Track these commie interlopers down and help them cross the street ... whether they want to or not.
>> send them to observe ISIS.
bttt
Just ordered 100 more rounds of Federal LI buckshot 12 guage...and more R.I.P rounds..
That’s a good point....perhaps they get paid as human sacrifices.
Kick their butts out of town.
Exactly... now when [or if] Amnesty International tries to bring attention to cases where there is real oppression, it will be hard to take them seriously. This certainly would make one doubt their credibility on things they have been involved with in the past as well.

I’ll lay odds that at least one of those women will be raped in the next 72 hours.
Any takers?
Has Code Pink shown up yet?
