Police and protesters in Ferguson were finally able to share the streets again at night, putting aside for at least a few hours some of the hostility that had filled those hours with tear gas and smoke.
The St. Louis suburb still had plenty of lively protest Tuesday over the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown. And tensions rose briefly when someone hurled a bottle at officers.

After last night Nationals game the ‘sideline reporter’ was interviewing Ian Desmond who has something like 8 hits and 17 RBIs with the bases loaded this year.
Anyhow, the dip asked Desmond “How do you prepare yourself at bat to be able to get so many RBI’s etc etc etc”

I turned it off after that but would imagine the next question along the lines of ‘how do you feel winning 8 games in a row’ or some other such trite.
Have gotten to where announcers are the most unimportant thing on a televised sporting event...Only problem is I use the game as backdrop while doing something else and when one of the ‘homers’ gets his panties in a twist I look up to see what is going on in the field.

I read somewhere that prior to the Great Society scam by LBJ that the rate of marriage was higher among blacks than whites. Out of wedlock births were lower percentage wise for blacks than whites. If I remember correctly it also said that percentage wise more blacks were moving into the middle class than whites. I hope I am remembering this correctly and wish I could quote the source.

The old saying in E. Ky used to be when a baby was born he got a slap on the butt and a roadmap to Detroit, that was long ago. Now he sits on the porch waiting for his check to come from the gov.
I went to Detroit in ‘72 and all you had to put on the app was that you were from E. Ky and you were hired. I lasted 3 months at Chrysler and went back home to the coal mines. Mindless work was too hard for me. Besides that, my accent, admittedly strong, seemed to bring out the rudeness in all I met. Except for a few girls willing to overlook it.
The Democrat disease was already in evidence in Detroit back then, eh.

When I started at Chrysler the super took me to a work station that had had 3 men running it and was now down to two. He told the guys to teach me the jobs was gone for 2 hours and came back and asked me if I could handle it. I said yes it aint rocket science, he then took the guys off to the side and fired them both. I was now working 3 jobs.
I stood it for almost 3 months and when I had down time they would pull me and have one of the supers teach me other jobs. I did not want the brainless type of job I was doing and so quit.
Funny thing about that time is that when break came up the dopers would go outside and line the front of the building and joints were passed up and down the line. The drunks would go to their lockers and get their booze, head to the restrooms and get a quick buzz on. I never saw normal people so have no idea where they went.
We built the 318 engine and it is a wonder any of them ran.
If you're white you're forced to buy ADT protection, form a 'watch' group, buy a gun, install anti-theft divices on your home and car. BECAUSE the police protection that was created in this country a hundred years ago to protect ALL citizens now exist to 'care' for the black community.
Blacks 'communities' should pay for their own police protection... charge by city block or by ZIP code. Enough is enough.
If any of the press would do their job and run an exposé about how these auto workers behave versus those who work for Toyota and other companies, that’d be the US auto industry’s death knell.
I am near a Ford plant and know some of the UAW workers and they tell me that coke is done on the line as a matter of course. This was some years ago and things may have changed. They probably do meth now.
The equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment is good and shredded, yes.
Why should we be forced to pay for police protection that primarily services the the black community?
Every home or apartment should be charged according to their zip code - the monthly 'police tax' can be tacked onto each of our electric bills. It's an incentive pattern that will make all communities better and reduce crime.
