Police Suspend Officer at Ferguson: 'I Will F****** Kill You' to Protestors
Truth Revolt ^ | 8/21/2014 | Sarah Fisher

Posted on 08/21/2014 5:21:55 AM PDT by markomalley

An officer who was working at the Ferguson protests was caught on camera pointing a semi-automatic weapon at a peaceful demonstrator and saying "I will f****ng kill you." Yesterday, it was announced the police officer was suspended indefinitely.

The incident just before midnight on Tuesday punctuated the 11th straight night of racially charged demonstrations in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Missouri, since Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old, was slain by a white police officer.

No one was hurt in the gun-pointing confrontation, but the incident underscored what many have criticized as heavy-handed and unprofessional police tactics that have helped stoke continuing civil unrest.

According to an official account from the St. Louis County Police Department, an unnamed policeman from the neighboring community of St. Ann leveled his weapon at a Ferguson protester "after a verbal exchange," and that a superior county officer, a sergeant, quickly intervened.

According to a statement from the county police department, the sergeant "immediately took action, forcing the officer to lower the weapon and escorting him away from the area."

At one point, he is heard yelling, "I will f****ng kill you, get back, get back," before the sergeant calmly steps in to defuse the situation, orders him to lower the weapon and leads him away from cameras.

"The unified command strongly feel these actions are inappropriate, and not indicative of the officers who have worked daily to keep the peace," the police statement said.

It said the officer in question had been relieved of duty and suspended indefinitely but gave no further details of any investigation or discipline he might face.

The officer in this case did his fellow officers a HUGE disservice.

Really ? Just because this is the only 'incident' the MEDIA chooses to show you doesn't mean it didn't happen repeatedly for the past week.

I have already shown one picture are proof. I watched the LIVE feeds every night. I saw what the cops had to deal with.

They were walking a tight wire, one side ICE the other FIRE. There were dozens of incidents similar to this every night. That the LE managed to KEEP COOL 99% of the time, is a MIRACLE.

I'll go back to what I have been saying to others... IF YOU were in that cops shoes, what would you have done ?

I’ve had people tell me to go F*** myself before,

Were you in a riot, with a bunch of mad young thugs, and the guy who told you to F*** yourself had a KNIFE and was advancing towards you while the crowd behind him help up signs that read "KILL A COP" ?

You are trying to compare apples and oranges by using an example that has nothing to do with the situation in Ferguson. FAIL.

Look, buddy, go back to my original post. I said that we don’t know what the crowd was doing to provoke this guy. That being said, his reaction may well have been inappropriate. He had to be cooled off by another officer.

In the end, it’s simple: if you can’t handle the stress, don’t be a cop. I was in the military, but was never a cop.

First of all, I’m not a BIG TALKER

I was addressing a multiple of posters in the comment.

If it doesn't apply to you, then I apologize.

I still say that unless you were 'there', you don't know what you would have done.

It has been my experience that MOST people TALK THE TALK, but don't WALK THE WALK.

The tactics we are witnessing is classic "pressure from above", in this case the Federal government and the elite media, and "pressure from below", in this case a combination of street thugs and professional agitators. Their technique is one we saw in the anti-Vietnam war movement over 40 years ago, e.g., the Chicago convention riots of 1968, and further back, during the labor union agitation of the 1930s. Look at the pictures from the Ford Motor strike, where Walter Reuther and other UAW officials were beaten up by Ford security men. The beatings backfired on Ford, and the company was forced to recognize the union, which was then heavily infiltrated by Communists.

The technique is classic. Make the local law enforcement look brutal, add the racism factor to it, and turn public opinion against them. This provides a pretext for more intense Federal scrutiny of local law enforcement and returning the country to the higher crime rates of the 1965-1990 era. Thereby, you will have more of the public persuaded to support the liberal agenda of centralization and civilian disarmament.

These techniques were old even when Saul Alinsky was in his prime, and were developed by the Bolsheviks in pre-revolutionary Russia. The Nazis effectively adopted the same tactics, ironically against the Communists who developed them. The labor movement, the civil rights movement, and the anti-Vietnam war movement used them. In the 2010s, these tactics are being revived.

That being said, his reaction may well have been inappropriate.

Maybe, maybe not.

He had to be cooled off by another officer.

Do you know how many times that same scenario happened over the past week ?

In the end, it’s simple: if you can’t handle the stress, don’t be a cop.

So, every rookie cop is supposed to have the ability to handle extreme stress that only comes from years of experience ? How much 'stress' did that cop have to deal with that night before he got to the point that he spit out an 'emotional' statement while standing in front of an ANGRY CROWD shouting KILL A COP, and a thug with a knife was moving towards him?

I was in the military,

Thank you for your years of service to the defense of our nation.

but was never a cop.

Me either. So why do those who have never been in that 'situation' think that they would have reacted differently ? P.S. In another story out of Ferguson, a 'thug' pulled a knife and advanced towards a cop, and the cop shot him. It's a thread here on FR.

WHY was that one OK, and this one NOT ? This cop didn't shoot the thug. Yet everyone thinks he was wrong because he was 'vocal'.

I'm used to this. Dealing with the 'water cooler' posters. The 'day shift' on FR is usually deeply infested with them. They are 'good people', have 'good intentions'. It's just that most of their 'opinions' come from a 30 second spot on CNN or CBS or fellow employees around the 'water cooler' that are just as misinformed as they are.

An example that you are familiar with might be in order here. The I AM MIKE BROWN LIVE VIDEO feed.

If you LISTEN (and believe) what the *sshat reporter is saying, you will side with the thugs.

If you turn off the audio and just watch the video, you come away with a much different opinion.

The problem with much of 'public opinion' during events like this is that they are LOW or MIS informed. Of course, if you are in that category, you do not know you are. You absolutely BELIEVE you have the TRUTH.

Irrelevant and you're preaching to the choir. This is about PERCEPTION. Those who want to see abuse by the Ferguson police in EVERYTHING now believe they have video proof proving their claim.

This officer just handed them an example that validates their claim. That's all I'm saying.

I agree, we accept the good reason for Brown no longer being around, but there is no reason to have officers with guns causing problems or actually hurting people for no good reason either.

OH, took me a minute to figure out what you meant.

You, me, and CAWW.

3 vs. ?. Probably about the same proportion as the opinions of the general public.

This officer just handed them an example that validates their claim.

OK. But this was happening every night. THE MEDIA handed this example to you, not the officer.

As I have already said, in another 'incident' in Ferguson, thug pulls a knife, cops SHOT HIM DEAD. Why isn't that being discussed ?

Cops were aiming their weapons at the 'crowds' all week long. No one says diddly about it.

Matter of fact, they ignore it when it came to this case, and act like this officer is the ONLY ONE that raised his gun and threatened to SHOOT if the crowd didn't move back.

I WATCHED THE LIVE FEEDS every night. It happened too many times to count.

The reason the public is got their panties in a knot is because the media/someone with a cellphone happened to record this incident, and the media is pushing it because it supports their narrative.
