I am sure that he killed the Chief with a legally acquired gun then.

“Situational Awareness”. RIP officer. He was probably caught off-guard or over-powered by a younger individual. Texas is mostly friendly, but I try to be prepared for the unexpected.

Ethnicity or color be damned. This ain’t Ferguson, it’s Texas. It’s the attitude that matters. It ain’t all rainbows and unicorns down here. On occasion there are some bad-ass people you will have to deal with or avoid. Don’t believe me then answer a Craigslist ad or two.

Sounds like the neighbor was aware the perp was potentially loco. Crazy people do crazy things, so no doubt the neighbor knew the situation immediately when he heard about the incident.

So sad, but could have been anyone of us who had to deal with this individual on a daily basis. Be aware and be prepared. It didn’t have to end this way. They don’t lock these people up anymore. The streets are full of crazies, sexual predators, felons, and other assorted liberals (/s).

Again. Texans are friendly, but they will shoot your ass if they feel their lives are threatened. I guess we’re all a little crazy in that case.
